Coder needs an artist-designer

I can do well: C#/Unity3D

I can do: BoscaCeoil/Audacity/Photoshop

I suck at: Gamedesign

I totally suck at: ART

I've done 6 (?) Ludum Dares and I work as a full-time render/core engineer.

Look at my games in my profile. I can and will get "it" done. I'm in the UTC+2 time zone. Wanna help me with ART and ideas and anything else? Reply here please, last chance! Otherwise you destine me to programmer-art-cubes and your-artistic-self to... no game? :)

I made 4 games - gimme ART, I give you code!

Got head full of ideas? Can you paint/sketch/model them? Are you at least somewhat reliable and expect the same? Come make ART with me! I need you!

Look at my games to assess how much I could achieve alone in 10-20 hours. Multiply that by 1.5 since I won't have to deal with art too much if you help. Music+sounds also welcome. I mostly suck at design.

I can devote 20+ hours in 3 sessions over the weekend. Best if you're around Europe's timezones but it ain't a blocker.

I'll supply code, most probably in Unity3D + C# in order to not waste precious time (on my end), constructive design criticism, some sound effects and maybe even a simple tune.

I work for an AAA company and LD has always been a way out, at least for a weekend. Have something finished and not look back (unless it's too good :D)

Who's up? Come make a game with me! :fist: Drop a comment here today

No art again - any good ideas?

I couldn't get an artist on the team this time either, so it's just veteran engine and backend programmers :( I'm used to Unity and resort to making stuff out of boxes/cylinders/etc. I've got some experience with Maya but I can't make anything too artistic. I'm always wasting shitloads of time doing placeholder textures and meshes, either in Unity itself or Maya.

Do you, guys, have any recommendation for improving programmer 'art'? :) The improvement should be mainly in the production plane (time to make) but also possibly in the visual.

"Learn Blender" doesn't count, it's too late for that.

What are you, fellow programmers-without-artists, gonna do? :)

Can you find the EASTEREGG?

Check out our entry Bunnycula on Windows! It has controller vibrations! And bunnies :rabbit2: and squirrels :chipmunk: and a monster :japanese_ogre:! And an EASTEREGG!

If you manage to 'add' the EASTEREGG, let us know :D This lame kind of EASTEREGG works only on the Win64 version - for a reason it isn't in WebGL (if you want Win32 or Linux, I can try building it). Who'll be the first to give us arguments about how you append to the game to command it in order to activate the EASTEREGG? :) I'm only sad that I didn't put more into it. :egg:

Our game doesn't collect anything (it's offline) and as such fully complies with GDPR!

Drop us a comment and we'll play yours, too, you know the drill!

Explain the ratings

Hi all, it's the time again to be wondering about the total number of entries :)

I see that the 2 winning games both landed on place 1 (one is jam and another is compo). So are the displayed ratings out of the respective category (1817 jam games and 721 compo games) or out of the total submissions (2538)?

Thanks for re-clarification everyone :)
