I'm in
First game jam and Ludum Dare, what is happeniiiing?! Teaming up with two awesome people to make something...something. I sort of decided on the last minute so this might end terribly, but whatever. Good luck, everyone!

Hello, gamers!
I want to share today with you my excitement over our first Ludum Dare as well as our first game ever! Boy, was it a ride. I am so thankful for being able to participate. If you would like to play our game about squares (because we love squares, squares are awesome) then check it out in the link below!

Play it here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/inky-pinky-square
Play as Square and his friends Pinky and Inky in a game that will take you back in time! Cute pixel graphics, 8bit music and devilishly puzzlingly tricky levels, all of this awaits you in our magical square world.
BUT there is a twist! Every time Square meets unfortunate ends, one of his friends comes to help him out on his journey. But oh, help form square friends is not always helpful! The more squares you have the harder it is to get through the level, at the same time Square will be more happy if he can enjoy travelling tricky platforms with his friends.
Have fun and be sure to tell us what you think! We appreciate your feedback. :)

Barely finished life tasks I had to do on friday, now its Saturday morning and I am here like...what tool am I gonna use anyway?
Goals: - Make something finished, short and weird, I cant do a proper movement controller anyway - Own art - photos? - own audio - my mic sucks so probably gonna go with synths
Tools:
as unprepared as possible, but happy to be here again!
Second time jamming with my beautiful team! We have only about two days to work with this time around, so the aim is to create something small and fun with Unity. We hope we can pull through, good luck everyone!
Exactly the theme I wanted and had tons of ideas for....NOT.
In honor of my busy teammates working on their bachelor degrees, I decided that this weekend I will ignore my own responsibilities (come and get me!) and create something that will demonstrate how much I need them for LD 44.
Challenge 1: Two days.
Challenge 2: My own sound.
Challenge 3: My own art.
Challenge 4: Simplicity with a twist or endless replayability.
Easy mode: opt out of original sound/art
(Honestly, how hard can it be - mark my last words)
Currently hoping to learn Stencyl enough to not be frustrated by everything. For music I plan to play with Beepbox and for art I'll try Piskel.
Let's see what happens when a game designer goes on a solo quest!
Phew,

first time solo with not that much experience and it is very noticeable in the game. In the end I managed to, I think, convey the message I wanted to AND the game is not broken in any apparent way. I call that a success!
Odie brought mom flowers is still missing a few ratings until 20, if you feel like finding out whether Odie is a good boy, check the game out HERE: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/odie-brought-mom-flowers
I am largely interested in thoughts about the ending. Will also gladly help out people who are still missing a rating or two, so make sure to comment if you need help too!
This time, I have a plan to persuade my friend (a first timer darer hehe) to make some experimental weird stuff in Twine. Let the Limited memory theme win and gl!
Team: me, coffee and lots of banana chips
Time available: 24 hours
Tools: Bitsy/Twine & Ableton for some sick beats
Goal: create an atmospheric that entertains for at least 5 minutes!
Here we go. I wish everyone luck with their projects!
A Twine motivation speech generator in production - workers are behind schedule of course

and probably some sleep.
There's two of us this time and the plan is to finish! - something small and fun, accompanied by a cool soundtrack created by my prettycool producer teammate.
Tools: whatever they've got up in their sleeve + my mediocre Twine (ftw) skills. Art will probably end up a spur of the moment highly unstructured process as is traditional (I should really learn how to draw ~~with digital tools~~).
Starting in about 18 hours, so gonna log off to avoid spoiling the theme for myself :) Good luck with brainstorming!
Hi all,
I promised to do a blogpost and I forgot. So here we are. Late and enlightening people on the name of the game:
Lupins is a kind of flower species!
You can find out more about who they are as a nonhuman being in our weird conversational cosmic trip.
Along for the ride, you have two more cosmic entities trapped in neverending cycles of overthinking. It all might make sense in the end, I promise?
