Trying out Ludum Dare for the first time just as something to do and try out, using: GameMaker Studio 2, Asesprite, Bfxr, and FL Studio

Aiming for compo (as I am going solo) though submitting for the Jam would honestly be just as amazing! As it is my first time with minimal experience, I doubt I will create a full game though just why not? Good luck all!

Going for compo again, I have become more efficient (and better) with my game-making skills, and hope to create a finished product that I am proud of.

This is my LD42 game Taint, submitted for Jam, created by PYJA and KATB. The theme of the competition was running out of space, and we fulfilled this by having a spreading corruption chasing you away, and enemies constantly producing high damage dealing corruption. Despite the cringy title, I'll be participating in LD43 for the Jam, as three mates are doing it with me! This is my 3rd Ludum Dare, so I'm soorrta prepared. I'll Be Using: Unity || Gamemaker Blender || Asesprite FL Studio BFXR Sleepless Nights

Spent too much time on artwork? Probably.

This is my halftime progress for LD43. My game is about leading villagers or "Followers" up a mountain due to a rapid flood caused by climate change. On the way up, there are many challenges, you encounter wolves, bandits, blocked paths, etc. To overcome these, you have to sacrifice important resources to you. For example equipment, health, food or even people.

An example of this is the wolf encounter, where you have the option to sacrifice a person for the wolves to eat, food, or fight them (where you could lose health)

Yes I am trying to make this in 48 hours. I'm pretty bad at managing my time...

After one day of working on my game, I encountered a bunch of problems that make it impossible for my game idea to work! (I spent another day trying to fix it to no results, yikes)

So now I have decided that I am going to restart and go for jam, and hope to get something in.

Luckily I can still reuse a few assets though I'll have to code all over again.
