Hi Everyone!

This was my first Ludum Dare and a fantastic experience.

Thoughts
I found coming up with the idea for the game was one of the most challenging parts, and would highly recommend looking at the finalist topics before hand and thinking up some ideas. I had actually started two separate games before settling on Sling Ship. I knew I wanted to push the boundaries of what I had done before (very little) and I had never used physics/ropes before.
I ran out of time before being able to implement a tutorial, or any way to convey the story, within the game. I've seen other submission that do this very well. I also would have loved a better UI, and have since considered removing the timer. Soon after I published I recognized that the sound was very loud as well.
I also spent most of Saturday night installing Android Studio so this game would work on mobile, and this cut into game development time. Would highly recommend sorting this out beforehand as well.
Developing a good learning curve was also difficult. I watched a couple of Twitch streamers play the game (https://www.twitch.tv/drazil100) and (https://www.twitch.tv/jenninexus) and saw them struggle to get past the second level. It's easy to forget that if you're the one designing the game (and practicing all the time) that people might not be as skilled right off the bat. Also, because there's so little instructions I can see where that would get frustrating. I also assumed (falsely) that people would gravitate toward a little higher difficulty, but now I'm not so sure. Perhaps some folks (myself included at times) just want to get in, play for a bit, and get out without being fussed with the challenge. We'll see what the Feedback looks like later this week.
Overall I really enjoyed the Jam, and would come back and do another. I feel proud of this game, and am hoping to flesh it out and eventually release it on the Google Play Store (once I get the appropriate assets, and incorporate feedback). I've been playing it all week, and once you get the hang of it, well, it becomes pretty addictive. I hope you all agree.
Feedback on this game is greatly appreciated (it's my first game, so would love both gameplay/technical suggestions)
