I’m In
Here for my second Ludum Dare.
I will be using:
- VS 2010
- Direct X
- 3DS Max 2011
- kW Xport
- Photoshop
- bfxr
- musagi
Keep it simple, Keep it safe.
Checking in for my third Ludum Dare. Going to try this one by the seat of my pants, so not much pre-planing.
Probable Software:
I am going to try and make it more visually appealing this time, and spend a lot more time on graphics.
Good luck all!
Here we go!
Checking in for my fourth LD. I am really excited about this. Hoping to make something that can run in browser this time, but that could change any time.
Here is the stuff I expect to use:
Good Luck to All!
Just turned it in. I am really happy to have finished in time! My previous Ludum Dare’s ended in failure, so I am excited to have a finished game this time! Each time it gets better.
Here is the game and a description:

Sundial is a top down dungeon crawler where light is your best friend. Use the timepiece to collect light to ward off enemies for 10 seconds. Battle two different bosses on your quest to find the Sundial and restore light to your world.
Off to rate some games!
I’m in for my fifth Ludum Dare. I am super excited since this will be the first time doing the Jam instead. I was really happy with my result last time, so it will be hard to top it!
Things I expect to use:
Going to try to make something that could be easily converted to work on a phone this time.
Good luck everyone!
Just finished my game:

The idea is you can only delivery one pizza at a time because you have to ride your hover board. Had a lot of fun with this, like every LD I have done so far. Each time it gets better and better! I really wanted to make a game where you can chain together tricks.
I think next time I will be doing the Compo again instead of the Jam, 72 hours is hard to work through. Have to turn it in a little earlier than the time limit due to a badly scheduled appointment.
I can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks!
All set up for my sixth LD! Can’t wait for it to start… maybe I should go have a nap?
I used Java and libGDX the last two times, and it worked great. This time I think I will switch it up:
One thing I discovered halfway through the last LD was a Pandora station that just plays Video Game Music. I like it because it doesn’t have many words, but a ton of motivating nostalgia.
Good luck all!
16 hours left and I think to myself… Maybe I should start building a physics engine?
So I have been in six Ludum Dares so far. LD has beaten me three times, and I have completed a game three times, so we are tied. Next LD I will finally take back my pride!
This LD was a lot of fun. I had no idea what to do when the theme came out. At first I was thinking of doing some type of underwater game, but then I thought of the movie Tremors. I really wanted to do something where you control a creature underground that eats people on the surface.
This is what I came up with:
I may have made it a little to hard and the rocks to close together. I feel like people usually either die right away, or they don’t die until they stop being careful.
Try it out here!
This time I decided to use Unity, just for some variety.
I made a small breakout clone as practice:

Good luck to everyone!
