LD30

You Can’t Give It Up; Go For Broke!

Guess I’ll give this a try. Never done LD before, but I’ve got more time now than I’ve ever had before and might have again any time soon.

Operating System: Windows 7

Language: C#

Engine: Unity3D

IDE: MonoDevelop

Revision Control: Git via Github Client for Windows

Graphics: GIMP, MyPaint (If I end up trying to draw anything elaborate.)

Sound: sfxr, LMMS

Top: Rough idea of what I’m trying to make.

Bottom: What I’ve managed to make before bed.

Latest code can be found here: https://github.com/Retl/LD30-ConnectedWorlds-Retlthingy Though I will probably rename it before the end of LD30.

Now: Going to bed. Let’s go, Ludum Dare!

LD32

I’m IN!

This’ll be my second try at Ludum Dare. Here’s to hoping this goes as well as or better than my first!

I’ll be using Phaser and The GIMP. Still not sure what I’ll do about sound yet.

I kinda want to do a turn-based thing themed around bubbles, but I’d much rather play a platformer. Hrm. I’m getting some ideas. I’ll try to bash out a design and basic proto after I get some sleep.

Good Luck to all entrants!

LD32 Failure by Forfeit

Withdrawal from LD32

A. Using a library I’m unfamiliar with.

B: Skipped warmup weekend.

C: What I wanted to make is overscoped for a 24h project.

D: A number of family matters ate more time on the first day than I anticipated.

E: I haven’t gotten this new diet under control, and the dizziness/tiredness spells are not fun.

I might try again on LD34. But right now, I’m not having fun with it.

This is as far as I got. Clicking makes a target marker. The yellow square will move to it. Yellow square touching the red squares adds to score. Not even as much as a solid warmup weekend: It’s just some tutorials and examples cobbled together.

Perhaps I’ll give another go next year.

LD34

I’m in!

Here we go again, another shot at the LD! Going to put all of my focus on mechanics implementation, and probably going to skip on sound and graphics work this time around. We’ll see.

Gonna stick with Phaser again for this round. It’ll make it easier for others to test, and easy for me to get started.

Good luck to all!
