I’m in

Determined to actually finish something this time and will no longer be using Java. Actually really excited as I’m far more confident in my own abilities now.

Will be using:

Unity (C#)

MonoDevelop

Blender (maybe), Inkscape, GIMP (maybe), graphics gale (maybe)

sfxr/bfxr, LMMS, maybe musagi and whatever  else I can get my hands on.

So far I have….

So just about a quarter of the way in and I have 1 3D area fully made (other than textures). At least my blender skills are not letting me down yet

And after all that…

My game with no sound managed to break into the top #200 for mood!

Big question on my mind is where would it have been if I had managed to actually include a half decent soundtrack to provide a bit more atmosphere? Overall I’m pretty happy with my first 3D attempt in a game jam. Already decided to strip the project down and re-build from the ground up to make it what it should have been all along so we shall see what becomes of that.

Many, many, many thanks to all who took the time to play, rate and comment on the game. Your feedback was incredibly valuable. Onwards and upwards now.

Goal for next time: Break into top #100 for at least 1 thing.

And for the first time in months I’m in!

Ok so it really has been a while since I did any game development but this time I’m in and giving it a go!

Will be entering the Jam with unity, blender, and inkscape. Have got a fairly good idea, we’ll see if I get it finished.

So it’s been too long…

I’ve not finished a game for LD in over a year now. Time for a change.

This time I will be dipping my toes in the water with Twine, inkscape and maybe Gimp

I'm In! (has been a while)

Ok, so, I think 2013 was the last time I did this so I have to say I'm pretty excited to be back.

I've recently been teaming up with some published horror writers on a new interactive fiction project which has got me back into development. Don't expect anything graphically fancy from me as I'm going to be going for more of the text based game with Twine. This does however mean that the build will be web based so most people should be able to play it. (If I finish it!)

My current team are occupied with their book promotions this weekend so I'll be doing this one solo.

I wish everyone the best of luck and I hope you all get enough sleep to at least remember how to human.

Text based goodness

Anyone looking for something text based that works within a web browser, please feel free to have a go of my entry.

It's my first entry since 2013. I've been away from development for so long, it's good to have as much feedback as possible.

There are multiple endings to this one so be sure to try it at least twice, picking different things each time in order to get a better feel for the experience.
