I’m In This Weekend

Hi,

This is the first Ludum Dare I’m joining, and will hopefully be the first game I will release to the public. Like many of you, I’m using libgdx as my main game engine. I will also use Pixen for art, (maybe) Tiled for level design, and bfxr for sound, and if I have time, Visual MML for music.

I look forward to making a game people can enjoy, as well as playing all the other cool games. Good luck, everyone.

…just great

I was planning to code in the game compo while I was traveling away. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my laptop’s charging cable, and I am not able to go home until Sunday. Oops.

As a result, I’d need to change my development strategy. I’m going to join the 72h jam, and try to find another way to code my game, possibly using HTML5 Canvas.

Good luck everyone. I hope I can get this in order, and I am very excited to be in this jam.

Unfortunately, I’m out!

Because of my mishap from friday, and lacking time management skills, I dropped out of this Ludum Dare. I like the theme, but real life got to me and I couldn’t finish in that timeframe.

In the meantime, I should practice my game programming skills more, as well as planning ahead to avoid what happened last weekend.

Oh well. Maybe I’ll make a game next December.

I Might Be In, Too

Since quite a lot of people are making indecisive posts, I will be making mine.

If the theme is interesting (and I don’t cave in to the Simpsons marathon), I might try this year’s Ludum Dare. Currently, I’m planning to use Unity(2D), with Gimp or Pixen for art, sfxr for sound effects, and maybe automodgen.py for music. Hopefully I make something this time and good luck to everyone.
