Is my game too hard?

Gif4-ezgif.com-video-to-gif-converter.gif

Hello everyone, I’ve received a good amount of positive feedback since the release of my game, and something that people mentioned frequently is that they played multiple times and still weren’t able to receive the good ending (my game has multiple endings). Even I was only able to get the good ending once, even though the rules for getting it are very fair.

My question is: is that okay? The game is short and the genre (Papers Please) calls for multiple playthroughs to figure things out. Or is it better to adapt to the median player and shift the balance in favor of making the good ending easier to get?

I need feedback

Hey everyone, congratulations on the results! I was very happy with what came out this time, but the results really confused me. I believe I made a solid, average game, and the feedback I received was primarily positive, but the final ratings are the complete opposite of that. I have made games that were much worse and unplayable that received higher ratings. I understand that people are generally not keen to leave honest feedback to avoid backlash, but the most important thing for me is to learn from my mistakes and come back better prepared next time.

So I'm asking, if you have already played my game, or are willing to play it now, please leave an honest review here or on itch, so that I, and we as a community, can grow and do better next time.

Thank you.
