This is going to be my first Ludum Dare. Pretty excited!

I’m going to be coding in Java using Eclipse, using Paint.net for artwork and sfxr for sounds.

This is the first time I actually commit to doing LD. My game is a sort of base building game set on Mars, where you have to continuously keep up with the arrival of refugees from an overpopulated Earth. She's coming along nicely; hopefully I'll finish on time and not go insane.

I was going to make a dungeon crawler with randomly generated levels. The "your life is currency" part would come in with ranged attacks and upgrades costing HP. You would gain HP by killing enemies and searching chests.

I'm using conditional tense because sadly I have finals this week and I should really get back to studying! Might try to finish this after the jam is over.
