I have no idea what im going to make yet but I will make something! This is my first LD, I didn’t start until today and I have been gone the whole day. Just sat down at my computer now to attempt to build something related to the connected worlds theme (which sounds awesome) with the time remaining (currently: 1 day 2 hours). Going to make some kind of 3d game.

Typing fast because I need to go dev! Tools I will be using are:

-unity game engine

-Playmaker

-Blender3d

-Probably gimp

So far I have only quickly poly modeled a character for the game. Don’t know what to call him or why I made him like this but I just had to make someone to star in my random made up LD game!

Finished modeling + texturing main character. Probably the fastest character I ever model and textured. Gotta rig next.

What other progress have I done? Nothing yet! Gotta get back to work. Gotta work fast! Only 1 day and a couple mins remain! Still have no idea what Im making.

currently 3:12 am. Im still awake and working on my LD48 entry! I finally formed an idea of what the game will be and how to incorporate the “Connected Worlds” Theme.

I like it and think I will stick with it. Only 17 hours remain so not much time left for polish work. Going to pump out and put this idea as fast as I can.

created a new character named “Alien guy”. You will meet him in this short game.

Its 9:20 am here. I can’t believe I stayed up all night working none stop on this project. I have never sat for so long working on any of my projects before but I love it! I feel like I am getting so much work done. I never completed this much game dev work in one sitting ever before. Randomly making up things as I go and putting in every idea that comes to my mind without even thinking about it. I should feel tired but I’m not sleepy at all. I am very excited! (Of course when this is all over I will most likely crash hard….)

I feel like this might be one of my greatest games of all time. This one, the one I created in only these past couple hours. I am almost finished. Just a couple more ideas!

11 hours remain. I probably won’t get to things like sound effects and music, but the rest is there and I am happy with it.

After working none stop and not sleeping all night,  I took a little 2-3 hour break since my last update here. Picking things back up again. I am near completing my project. Still have 6 hours left. It looks like I might be able to finish either last minuet or with a good 3 hours to spare.  Need to focus on wrapping up the final part and then doing a simple menu before thinking about building and finally submitting though.  Like I said in an earlier post, I won’t have time for sound effects and music so I will just leave that out of the final game.

Overall I am really happy with how my game is coming along and can’t wait to share it with everyone.

Im not sure whats going on but the site won’t let me submit my game entry. It keeps telling me that I must include at least one screenshot. I included 4 screenshots but it won’t take them and it keeps saying the same thing and not letting me submit my entry. Anyone else having this problem? I need to submit now. There is only 35 mins left.

Well finally I have finished my entry for the LD Connected worlds challenge! I had a lot of fun participating in LD for the very first time and am extremely satisfied with the final game I created. I am about to crash really hard right now because I haven’t slept in over 16 hours. I hope you all check out my entry and try it out. Enjoy!
