Who doesn't like some destruction

Once we've implemented bouncy shrooms, we just got stuck jumping on them and couldn't concentrate on anything else

Our team is very bad at coming up with ideas. So the best one we had (that would fit the theme) reflects my personal and painful experience of fighting with mosquitoes during this summer.
(Wall stains mechanic was also inspired by IRL experience, when you care about finally being able to sleep more than about the state of your wallpapers)
We initially planned the gameplay to be a little bit more engaging, with tools and upgrades to help secure more sleep. Mini-game also deserved more polish, but ended up being neglected in favor of finishing other important tasks (huge mistake, as it later became clear by looking at the feedback). Oh yes, and occasionally waking up your neighbors with very loud wall smacks (sorry guys, I want to sleep too)
I regret not being prepared for this Jam better. There were so many things we could've implemented faster if I had prepared some universal code snippets in advance. With this Jam being my third I'm no longer allowed to use lack of time-management as an excuse, so for our 4th project I will try to improve my coding skills/efficiency as much as possible
Nevertheless, even if we weren't able to make the best game we envisioned, I think we managed to at least tell a somewhat relatable story  You can try it yourself https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/56/billions-must-bite

Initially we wanted to make simple animations, but they didn't work well with lighting so we had to give up on that idea... (we probably didn't have enough time anyway)
P.S. to Unity experts out there. Any idea on how to make mesh renderers work with URP 2D lighting?
