I'm in!
I don't know if these "I'm in" posts are required, but if there is such thing as a Post-mortem, it'd be nice to have something the opposite of it that I can look back at when I finished the jam.
So this will be my 2nd LD Jam participation. The first one was LD 46, 3 years ago, where we made a little game called flamaraderie (The lowercase "f" is a stylistic choice). I was the artist and animator. I think I did pretty well at limiting myself considering the time, but looking back I could probably do an extra layer of polishing.
For this jam I won't be having that concern though, as the art will be handled by a dear friend, at least that's the plan. I will instead be handling coding and production, using Godot Engine instead of Unity this time. And as the self-proclaimed producer I will see what it's like to handle to product post-jam, market it, and talk about it as it was all handled by blu before!
My Goals for LD 55 Jam:
- Using Godot Engine to create a finished game
- Try to use all original or highly derivative assets for our game
- Learn a bit more leadership and game production
- Learn to use organization tools in Jam production, such as Notion
- Find the balance between polish and practicality
- As a producer, bring out the best out of our team without burning ourselves out
- Talk about my game a lot after the jam
Good luck to all of us! See you in submission day!
