I'm in :)

For the second time, I'm in. I'll be using: - C++ - SFML - Gimp - Bosca Ceoil (first time ever making music)

Some mechanics

I wanted it to be a roguelike... I guess it will be a puzzle game :)

24h Summary

So I finished most (all?) of game mechanics and made some levels. :) Todo: menu, end screen, new graphics?, music, more levels!

Slow progress...

I finally made soundtrack. Also added some new graphics and animations. I can't draw characters :(

Finally a playable version!

So after over an hour of thinking I came up with the title... It's "Pathcloser", what do you think? Also I made a menu and uploaded a version that you can play and beat :)

Thank you for over 50 votes!

Thank you all, also for nice comments! ^^

It was a great challenge and I certainly learned a lot!

Now waiting for the results!

Also I'm working on a little post-compo version, maybe I'll try to make some decent art, haha

The Pathcloser's end :)

So, it was fun! I think the theme was great (certainly better than I originally thought, haha)

Here are my results: results.PNG

Some of the things I learned from making my game and playing other games: - The final game may be very different than original idea - Minimalistic art is better than bad art - When I design levels, they seem much easier to me than to other people - The game should be as easy to follow at the beginning as possible, initial confusion is important

It was a great experience, se y'all in the Ludum Dare 43! :)

Look at those sad faces :(

Yes, this is the peak of my artistic skills.

It's gonna be some kind of reverse tower defense (I think, haha)

Killing spree

Main mechanics work! I'm pretty happy with what I've got :)

trying to balance

I can't win my own game, it's probably time to tone it down! Those enemies are so annoying! Good B)

Almost done

Everything works pretty nicely, I added some sounds and music.

Just menus and description to do!

ChosenProtector finished!

Shortly after uploading I went to sleep, so the official post is today.

I really like how it worked out! It's funny that for a while I was thinking about cancelling it and starting different project, haha.

It's a reverse tower defense with hack'n'slashy vibe!

It was a great experience, now onto the second part, rating! :D

Idea

Hello again! I hate this theme, but I think I got an interesting idea. For now, basic platformer mechanics and time reversal done:

That's my first Ludum Dare with JavaScript, loving it :)

Crash...

Yeah, so my browser crashed and I lost a big chunk of my game... I was constantly saving, I don't know why p5 editor says Saved: 4 hours ago. I feel totally uninspired. But maybe a good thing is that I'm making a timelapse, so maybe I can rewrite my code.

Let's go on a trip!

Although yesterday I lost a few hours of my work due to crash, I'm not giving up! demo3.gif

Finally beatable

Everything seems fine, I hope I'll make two more levels and intro on time!

Full gameplay

So, three people said my game started lagging so I decided to record full walkthrough in case they still want to see the entire game. Btw. comments are super nice, thank you all :)

Puzzles Again

I had a hard time coming up with a good idea, so here I am, making another tile-based puzzle game! Everything seems to be going nicely, although my game isn't REALLY going with the theme...

But I'm happy with my work so far :)
