LD 43

Ready? Well.. No. But I'm up for it!

This is my first Ludum Dare! I've been wanting to do this for a while, but never had the time to do so. BUT! I do now! Sooooo... Here I go!

The themes I decided I were good ideas are ones that I thought would make really interesting games. The following are what I suggested:

Expect the Unexpected.

Whatever is bad for you is good for you.

One Tool, Two uses.

Can't wait for 11/30/18! I hope to join in the challenge! :sunglasses:

Went to sleep after HUGE! Progress.

The last thing I showed people was the basic concept of the game. Thankfully, during the hours I was awake, I made tons of progress. The core of the game is practically done! Celebratory teaser time! unknown.png

After much success on Do It for Their Sake (cough cough https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/43/do-it-for-their-sake cough), I've decided that Ludum Dare is something I'm going to try again. Not because I made a crap game, but because of the idea I came up with. Thank you Ludum Dare for helping make a finished product. :)

Almost there! Roughly seven more ratings!!!

We only need seven more ratings to get an official score on Do It for Their Sake! I am quite happy with the outcome and response. There were tons of things people have pointed out to me, and I am very glad you all rated and commented on it.

Thank you all for participating in the play and rating.

Makes very first Ludum Dare game ever, gets into Top 30 in Fun

My mind is utterly blown. I am in the Top 30 in the Fun category and Top 40-50 in others. I am actually proud, happy, and excited for future Ludum Dares. I hope to join you all in April! But for now, thank you all for playing and rating the game.

PEACE!

Sent a message to an old Game Creator

I don't know if you all remember, but YoYo Games, the creators of GameMaker, used to have a website called sandbox.yoyogames.com. It's dead, of course, but I remembered an old game I really liked.

It was called In A Dungeon. I recently went looked for it and found it on Gamejolt. The game had inspired me through those days and kinda kept me going through making these games. So I left a message for him on there.

I don't know if he'll ever see it, but I hope he knows that he had at least one fan. Please consider playing this game show your support for him :)

My Suggestions

Suggestions.PNG

You're slowly going insane. - This suggestion is basically the idea that the player throughout the game starts to go mad and certain things will start to change. If this theme is chosen, I will make a platformer that makes each make your character go more and more insane, changing how different obstacles affect you.

Wait, was this here a second ago? - This suggestion is the concept that items, doors, characters, or any kind of object appears from nowhere or disappears to nowhere. A simple idea, but might be hard to execute. If this theme is chosen, I will make a game about doors that when entered cause items to appear, but when exited disappear.

Breaking the rules. - This suggestion is simply a game about breaking the rules of "how the game is supposed to work". If this theme is chosen, I will make a puzzle platformer that you can use the mouse to move certain objects to help you progress.

Can't wait for LDJam 44! Thank you for reading!

The previous two times I had entered Ludum Dare weren’t the best. That’s why, I’m participating and I’m going to do the best I can! I will finish a good game this time!
