I’m really excited about this one, and I’ve got a bunch more experience under my belt.

I’ll be using Paint.net and Construct 2, and I haven’t decided what to use for sound yet.

I might look at using something like Spriter for animation if I have time.

All in all, it looks like this is going to be a fun 48 hours.

I did it! This is my second Ludum Dare, and I’ve completed my game.

Time Squirrel is a simple platformer in which you play a little squirrel who can slow time.

He has to get as many acorns as he can before the winter comes and he begins hibernating.

All in all this has probably been my most tidy game, I made 10 levels so there’s about ten minutes of gameplay if you don’t die too much.

While I was making it I had a really good time listening to my music. I got quite good at speed-running without the slow motion

Now to have my celebratory Sarsaparilla.

This is my announcement post, I’ll be using:

This is going to be a fun weekend full of no sleep and tons of stress, good luck to everyone.

So far, I’ve managed to finish:

• main character animations
• lighting
• movement
• particle effect
• tilemap background
• basic story outline

From now, I’m going to work more on things like:

• fleshing out the story
• putting the story into the game
• thinking of a name
• making it look pretty
• making it fun

I’d say this will end up being less than 15 minutes long, but hopefully it will be very tidy.

So far today, I’ve managed to finish two out of probably 11 scenes, and set the ground work for the entire game, it shouldn’t be too difficult to finish from here on out, the main problem will be getting the art to a standard that I’m happy with.

Alright, this is my 3rd Ludum Dare, 4th if you include mini LDs, due to time constraints, I’ll probably only be able to work on it for about a day, but I should hopefully get a good product out by then.

I’m in, but I’ve got a bit of a late start due to work commitments and living in Australia, but I’m sure I’ll manage to get something out by the end of it all.

Just my stupid little game, only took me 24 hours total to make, hope you enjoy it.

I’m making it my life’s goal to never miss a Ludum Dare again, I’m going to be a 90 year old man, sitting in a retirement home, trying my best to make a functioning game in under 48 hours.
