Recent Workflow for Live Changelogs: Interesting for Notion Users!

The title and the main character of our game.

Yesterday was Day One for us, and we got so much done! Since I had an extra moment to spare, I wanted to share how I've set up our workflow for changelogs.

In Notion, I set up a task database like so: notion screen.png

And it automatically syncs with these pages:
notion screen 2.png Why are there two, you may ask? Well, the simpler answer is that one is editable, while the other is not:
notion screen 4.png notion screen 5.png This allows me to pretty it up in Prep, and Lock the second version for anyone to take a look. Using filters, sorting and properties, I can choose exactly what I want to share as well.

This workflow is easy to duplicate and integrate into any project, and I've been using it for whenever changelogs are involved. Just another way in with Notion can be used.

You can take a peek at our live changelog anytime now! Cheers!

We haven't pushed a single build yet!

Continuous Integration Gitlab C/I is addictive. Using bandwidth in all the wrong ways, but it's worth it!

Theme Suggestions, and Self-Challenges for LD 51!

Obligatory "I'm in, and here are my themes."

Not too serious about my choices, but here they are! vivaldi_1jxNkgnoXp.png

LD 49 was my first, skipped LD 50, and am looking forward to learning a lot from LD 51!

Considering challenging myself with an 8X8 sprite size with pixel art, and if I absolutely can't manage, bump myself up to 16x16. I know the trend (so far from my POV) seems that for pixel artists, higher res (64x64 upwards) with good notions of shading is the way to go if you want to get hired.

I still feel like by going smaller, I will go back to the basics of how to consider just how much placing each pixel matters. Hopefully, my shading game improves.

How are you challenging yourself this time? A new kind of feature, completion goals, something else? I would love to know about it!

Playing and rating LD51 entries on stream!

Hey! Will be streaming in 1.5 hours, (8:00 pm GMT+2) playing and rating LD51 games! Feel free to hop on the stream and queue up to watch me play them live! Hoping to see you there!

Our Relic Pool in Smash Hit!

If you thought the relics being randomly chosen looked a little too similar, here is why! Set 1 is fairly easy for the new player, but it starts getting very difficult very fast, especially with the second hammer!

Third Time's The Charm? I'm in!

This'll be my 3rd LD, and 8th Game Jam! Looking forward to jamming with Arjahn Fasenfefer and Tommy Bradly in a three-person team, gearing up slowly.

My Choices across the Theme Voting Rounds!

Themes Suggestion Round

I suggested Blink, Sink and Jinx without thinking too deeply about them. I thought that people may come up with interesting gameplay or interpretations.

Slaughter Round

The Slaughter Round was fun to fit into my breaks, though the number of repeats and bad themes were surprising. So much DisUnity! First time that I managed to slaughter to the finish line!
