Hi People. I will be participating for the ludum dare for the first time.
My project concept involves bombs (a la bomberman) with MMO features
It will be full javascript/html5 ( crafty.js ) with node.js
let it roll!

well, crafty.js is easy to use, but is giving me some issues for the explosion effect, nothing that worries me but i’m still figuring out what i’m doing wrong. The map, the movement and the bombs placement are ready, when I finish the explosions I will continue with the bomb kill actions. Once the bomb kill is finished, I will continue with the server development with node.js …
the idea is that the amount of explosions and the speed be a an important factor. My interest is that the game be pretty fast. You enter the arena, run, and place bombs like crazy!
Crafty.js gave me some problems and for some reason I forgot that chrome had a console :S … once I re-discovered the console, everything went fine
the explosion animation is ready. now the final step: the bomb kill.
It was just a simple thing to do but I wanted to do it.
Is a very simple game. But I did it in about 2 hours. I wanted to do it in javascript because I wanted to learn something different from what I usually do ( Unity3d )
Well to every one of you luck!!
I finished my game yesterday before noon.

Is way too simple but it served my purposes. One of the things I wanted to learn in this ludum dare (because the ludum dare is a mean for learning) was if I was capable of really make a game in a very very short amount if time.
Since the topic is minimalism I tried my best effort to do something with the basis of a game in like 2 or 3 hours that was the time I get to finish the game and upload it . Oh and I wanted to do it in javascript since I have time not working with it and I wanted to remember it.
What I learned? Focus. You see, I wanted to add new “things” to the game, but I refused to that idea and kept with the whole image I had at the start. And well the game get finished. I just tweak a pair of things but nothing more.
But I think this is NOT a good thing with games. Well is bad for the time vs money vs your project manager, But is good for our creativity to let ourselves loose in a ocean of ideas.
Besides all it was fun and strange at the same time. The theme was kind of different, because minimalism is an idea so broad and so open.
But well, luck to everyone. see you.
Ok, Here I am again trying to make a little game, It have been some time since I opened Unity and since they have released the 4.6 version I want to do a game only using the new gui sistem.
What I will do is a slot machine. Something simple but I think enough for this Ludum dare. I will try to make something in which I could get to learn all the new features that the new Unity GUI has.
Let see what happens
