LDJAM50 Submission Page - Why Bother

Had an absolute blast trying to develop everything myself! :smile:

This was the first time I went in on my own as my friend wasn't available and ohhhhh boy was I in for a treat!

Not only was the theme very difficult I also had to struggle with the fact that I couldn't bounce any ideas off of someone else. :frowning2:

This led to me starting to doubt myself at the end of the first day and I basically had to push through with what I had, but in the end I'm completely happy how it turned out and can't wait for the next time where I get to challenge myself like this!

Progression was quite good as compared to previous LDJAMS. Limited myself to a small scope in favor of having some extra time to polish up as much as possible. Thankfully this seems to be working out. Also decided to use as much 3rd party assets as possible and focus only on programming and game design. :v:

What's left for tomorrow is to polish up the gameplay with some extra mechanics to make it rogue-like and - ideally - make it more in line with the summoning theme.

After some feedback I've updated the game to have all the recipes unlocked at the start and only optional upgrades are now available in the shop that make the game easier if you wish.

Good luck lobbing the fruit :)

(Btw Linux build has some bugs that I can't test/fix that make the game much harder to play - sorry about that :( )
