Acid for life

So me and Vašek Kabíček, both being 18 y/o students, decided to participate in this jam. Our first LDjam.

We didn't really expect anything and we went to this awesome site -> http://gamedev.cuni.cz/events/ludum-dare-41-prague/

We set our computers up and started waiting for the theme.

At 3 AM local time (Prague - UTC + 1) the theme came out and we got hyped, although it was, for us, the least wanted one.

After +- 1 hour we had few ideas written down and started working on the best one. Combination of Action and Idle genres.

We didn't know what we would create in the end but it turned out just perfect, just see it yourself!

Just to inform you, we really love the concept and we are still updating the game. (internally so far) This means there is more to come!

BTW: There are few possible ways to win the game, the best one is to beat the bosses with least upgrades on your character... E. g. killing the first boss @level1 + all stats @1

We need your ratings

Hello there, we'd like to invite you to try our game we made with my friend during LD41. We wanted to fit the theme so we had few ideas written down and then we chose the final one, action RPG + idle game. Choosing the name was fairly easy, since we used the names of genres used -> Ac(tion)+id(le) = Acid. Later on we got into Unity and started creating the master piece! Or at least we think it is one. :-D

Never mind. The idea turned out to be pretty cool, which we liked. So we kept on working and after 48 hours we almost had a working game. Finishing touches and here we go! BOOM ACID! :-D

Finally the game is finished

We worked really hard during all 3 days of this jam and we think that the effort is worth it.

We are really satysfied with the gameplay, graphics and sounds. The game is overall great, at least that's what we think...

We had a lot of time...

...Until we realised how much stuff we had to do, however we were still able to finish in time, although the game might not be as balanced as we wanted it to. Well nothing is perfect, right?

Preference

A great issue of ours! Where do we start, what do we do now, why isn't this ready when I need it already? Why didn't I do this first? OMG it's too late, I cannot make this, this has to be done.

Calm down first, then think, plan and then do stuff, it becomes much easier and cleaner process...

The game story

Wake up in a village. You have to provide food for them or they won't be able to defend before the raiders. But you also need to eat and improve your skills.

Hunt down animals and gain loot. Bring it back before night and make a choice! Will you keep the obtained resources or sacrifice them so the village can survive the next day? The time is short and the needs high.

Categories

As you can see, we tried to fit in the theme as well as we tried to make it a lot of fun and to make it look and sound nice. Therefore we would like you to rate our game in all of the categories except the sound, which is disabled, since we used and external source for that.
