First part is here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/deeper-and-deeper-6/some-of-my-favs
I spent way too long launching my wizard down the stairs, through walls, being completely unsure if crashing into the people randomly standing around was a good thing or not. I giggle like an idiot as my wizard level gets higher and higher (or is it really the dog's level that matters?) and I crash through more and more. Very well done absurdist comedy, if you are into that kind of thing.

An extremely tight precision platformer with cool mechanics. I hesitate to call it a precision platformer only because it is not as unforgiving as some others but I think it is very approachable. The difficulty ramps nicely and there are some challenging parts, but a quick respawn and a neat visual look make it fun to try again.
Another platformer (apparently I play a lot of them. I guess I also made one. Hmm....) Solid controls and manages to avoid the leap of faith problems by providing torches that you can follow. There is quite a lot of content here and each new area adds some extra challenges and features so the game stays fresh for the entire run.
Far Gone was made in 48hours and now that a week has passed, we had the chance to see multiple streamers play the game and offer us really positive feedback.
Most of the times they experience the game the way we intended but there's some minor tweaks we wanted to do to provide an even smoother experience to every future player:
Those changes aren't much but we believe they can improve the global feel of the game and we thanks every player who left us feedback.
We also updated the cover image of the game on itch.io. Here's the old one:

And here's the new one:

Obviously the .gif quality is better, but we also added a cover image for the first frame and changed the content to be the first clock of the game instead of a tombstone (We thought maybe seeing "R.I.P" at first glance wasn't the best way to get player to play the game). I feel like we never take enough time during/after the jam to do good promo art/gifs/banners and other, even though it's maybe the most important thing to do if you want many people to play your game.
This will surely be the last update on the game, there's obviously a lot of things we could add or change to make the game better but we still want to respect the original vision we had during the jam.
Thank you for reading this and come play Far Gone if you haven't already! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/far-gone
Unfortunately, we couldn't spend much time on this contest, so we decided from the beginning to do without music and sound effects.
There are only two of us and neither of us has much experience making music and sound effects ourselves. Of course, we could have chosen some free background music, but that wouldn't be included in the rating.
What do you think - better no sound at all, or 3rd party, or homemade (even if it's really bad)?
Here's our game "Deep down the asteroid" - with no sound at all ;) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/deeper-and-deeper-9
Hey hope you all head a great Jam! We are currently testing some games too, if you want us to test YOUR game just reply with the link in the comments. We would appreciate, if you play and rate our game too. Feel free to leave a rating and/or comment. Enjoy!
In our game the Player needs to fight the monsters exposed by radiation in the caves. Every Stage is deeper and has more difficulty, how far can you go? By the way all stages are completely dynamically random generated (thats why there is a 2 sec loading time at each end of level). Hint: The grafics are a little better in the windows version. Have fun!
Here a preview of the new bugfixed version with UI now, published soon:

Does anybody know?
The underwater mining agency requests certain minerals and you are going to get them!
Collect enough minerals and bring them back alive to the base to win!
Dive deeper and deeper below Earth's crust as you scavenge the flooded caves for minerals and gemstones!

Use a powerful laserdrill to extract fine resources!

Upgrade your submarine as you scavenge for treasures!

Enjoy your games, I will. Rate them too, perhaps. Yoda impersonations; highly likely.
After collecting some ideas and comments on how to make an accaptable cover image, I decided to try to use my new-found knowladge and opened up GIMP. What do you think? Wich one is better? Or do you have more ideas for optimisation?

There are jobs waiting for you, why not lend a hand?
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/odd-jobs

I made this little game with my two kids, aged 5 and 7, and we're all pleased with how it turned out. :)
I wasn't sure how a family effort was going to work and thought I'd probably end up doing 90% of it myself but I can honestly say that almost the whole thing was them, including some of the coding.
They worked really hard and are thrilled every time they get a little bit of feedback so all comments are greatly appreciated!

Howdy! Looking for something to enjoy with a friend? Well look no further: Introducing Woof need to go deeper!
So, what's this all about?
The game is about dogs! Yaaaay! Who doesn't like dogs? Everyone loves them! And what do dogs do? They dig in order to find bones, of course! So that's exactly what you have to do in Woof need to go deeper: dig in the sand or in the dirt and find surprises! Choose one of three modes and get ready to have a blast together!
-Bone finders: A bone is hidden in the sand or in the dirt. Whoever finds it the first and brings it to their dog house wins!
-Hide and seek: One of you hides a bone, the other one must find it quick!
-Bone frenzy: Bones spawn periodically. Grab as many as you can!
Still not sure if you would like to play? Then hear this. You can freely BARK! How cool is that? I mean, that would 100% convince me to at least try out the game! So go ahead and do the same!

Pssst! A little secret: Dig on another player's head to steal their bones! Don't tell anybody, ok?

Hello people!
First of all, the reception of the game has been wonderful and unexpected. We knew we had something good cooking, but this is our second Ludum Dare entry ever and we are overwhelmed with the positivity. In the name of the whole team, thank you so much guys!
We heared your feedback, and here we are with a patch for OVERDRILLED! Let's dig in: - Adjusted the difficulty of the game so it can be completed. - End game screen now shows the reason of your defeat. - UI bars have been changed to improve readability. - Various SFX, VFX and animation adjustments.
If you played it before, please consider playing it again, and if you haven't played it yet, what are you waiting for?

Well this time we did it.
We never try an RTS, it's a crazy experience as usual but RTS require units, buildings, timing, play tests and technology tree, resources collection and lot's of stuffs.
They are not suitable for a 3 day competition! There are too many things that can go wrong in 3 days!
But starts from the beginning, first of all, the development of the game, you must introduce:
Than you had to design the level, the progression how the game get played etc..
Sometimes you have no time to design a better interaction after the first one you develop. Oh I wish I had more time to implements a better dwarves' selector, like something drag and drop and select a bunch of dwarves, but we had to keep the "pick only one" because was the first things we did and we can not change it at the end.
Sometimes you have to prune lot of mechanic you would like to introduce, like advanced building, where only specialized unit can build, or advanced trait of a dwarf where you can upgrade the stats of a unit by performing some operations.
In the end I really love the experience and the challenge, we try something new and something fun and I'm not regretting anything. Moreover we had lots of positive feedback and I'm really grateful for this community.
Only those who dare to try, fail.
