My First Ludum Dare Gamejam!

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm excited to share my game - Harvest Survivors! Yeah, it's a survivor-like game, but you can perform all actions using the left mouse button. Try to get the highest score possible within 100 seconds!

Play it here:

Any feedback is super welcome!

Submitting the game build at 5 AM was exhausting! Time to finally get some sleep!

Happy jamming! 🌱

To The End Of Time - A WebGL Frustration

First of all, congratulations to all those who got their submissions in! Another jam down, plenty more to go! Second of all, thank you Mike for still running the Ludum Dare! I'd been looking to participate in one again but sadly I missed it last time, then heard this one was getting cancelled after all.. but here we are! I hope things will get better for you soon, and thanks to everyone else who has supported Mike in getting this Ludum Dare going. It's been a great weekend!

Lastly, of course the self-plug:

To The End Of Time is ready to be played! It's been a while since we attempted 3d in a game jam, and one of our teammembers was also brand new to jamming (he was very stressed out). He did a great job on all things music/sfx either way, make sure to applaud him to boost his ego a little!

One of my favourite things during this jam was working with neat little audio effects... slowing down time, reversing the music, fake speed-ups into a further part in the song or back? Proper intro loops seamlessly flowing into the main loop? It's been fun! However, sadly, a lot of my setup doesn't seem to work in the WebGL build. Very frustrating! (Please play our windows version ;_;) I ended up getting a whole lot of conditionals in there to at least not break the experience in WebGL, but it's definitely not what I'd intended! Either way... if anyone has some tips, do let me know hehe.

Either way, it's been yet another fun challenge, without a giraffe this time sadly, but definitely another entry that I loved building and that I love playing at this point. The current build supports easy and medium difficulty.. Now my question for y'all... Do we also release a hard version? Let us know in the comments down below, and don't forget to like and subscribe.

It's been fun jamming again, already got a couple of ratings down, looking forward to play more of your games over the next few days! <3

Unfortunately, we won't be able to finish on time for Jam. I'm really sad ;(((

However, we're committed to finishing our game! We'll be publishing it in the Extra section tomorrow. For most of our team, this was our first game jam, and it's been a huge learning experience. We're taking these lessons to heart and will be much more prepared next time!

Thanks for your support! Stay tuned for the playable build tomorrow.

Snaposaurus is here :D

Hopefully we'll get to polish it a bit more soon, but SNAPOSAURUS is playable in your web browser right now throught our itch.io link ! 🫒 It's been a wild ride between sleepless nights, unity bugs and an emergency mouse-drawn tilemap, but Snaposaurus is here !

Check out our game where you explore a child's curious dream, where he discovers that he's walking amongst ancient creatures.. And tries to immortalise it !!

Everything in this game is handmade with dedication (and coffee), from the music to the animation and all of the backgrounds ! For some of us it was our first jam, and it was quite the experience ! So we really hope you'll enjoy this labour of love as much as we had fun creating it (: 🌱 💜

Congratulations everyone

Massive congratulations to everyone who entered LD58, regardless of whether you did the jam, the compo, this third fancy new category of which I forgot the name, and most importantly, no matter whether you finished on time or not. This is by far the most vibrant, colorful and interesting community in the scene, and every time I return, I am greatly inspired by all of you.

So please pat yourselves on the shoulder today, open a bottle of whatever god forsaken beverage you may still find buried in your closet, and cheers to you! Happy LD58!

I must admit that I'm more curious about your lowest score negative than your highest haha

Jam was tougher than expected, but also: we made a pigeon that can roll eyes. I searching right now a way to do a custom category

I don't know if something is missing on our description page, but I hope some of you will try our game!

12 hours speedrun game development is finally over!

“What a perfect day to start working on my Ludum Dare entry!”, said I to myself 12 hours before the Jam deadline ends.

Ever thought what would happen if Balatro would be a roguelite top down shooter? No? Well, too bad, because I made a game that is exactly that for my Ludum Dare 58 Jam entry!

Like, I think, 95% of people who saw the theme I as well thought “hey, collect, that means CARDS!” And then I also wanted to make a top-down shooter for a long time. Roguelite shooter as well. And I also like cards.

So I decided, why not to do everything at the same time? And in 12 hours none the less. I have amazing time management skills, trust me (I don’t. Please, help :sob:)

Check it out! (Windows only for now, I'll try to make a web version in few days)

Dropseed finally growed!

DropSeed – Mini post-mortem

Hey everyone!

First of all, thanks to everyone who's played and left a comment — I've really enjoyed reading all your feedback 💜

This was a super fun jam to work on, and also quite a challenge since I did everything on my own. The idea started simple: collect water, avoid stones, and grow a plant. I didn't have much time this weekend, so I prefered to keep it simple. But, as always, it ended up being a bit more chaotic than planned.

The artistic side is definitely my weakest point, so it took me a while to make things look the way I wanted. Still, I'm happy with how it turned out, especially the vibe and the small details like the bucket sounds, rain, and the particles when you empty it or when it is full of water.

I'd love to hear what you think!

Play dropseed here

Thanks again for playing, and congrats to everyone who survived the jam, solo or in teams!

Taxcellent is live!

After 3 days, we finally got our economy into a somewhat balanced and fun to play state! Come collect some taxes while trying to not bankrupt your villages: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/58/taxcellent

Don't Ask About the Title... we were a bit too descriptive.

"IUTBADIAFWBIGTTT9SNICTATMIT" (yes, the famous "I Used To Be A Dragon In A Fantasy World, But I Got Teleported To The 90's So Now I Collect Trash As To Me It's Treasure") is "FINALLY" HERE!

We took the "Collector" theme and turned it into a shopaholic dragon that clearly buys too much stuff online! 🕹️ Your mission is simple: GRAB, FILL, and DON'T SMASH (too much) your house with endless deliveries.
