After a few days of tinkering around in Reaper and polishing things up, I am happy to release what I hope will be the final build for my LD51 Compo game ETERNARC - ETERNALLY NARCOLEPTIC!
I would be very thankful for more reviews, as I currently stand at only 2!

ETERNARC is a strategic survival-adventure game in which you fall asleep and the (procedurally generated) map changes every 10 seconds.
Version 1.3 includes a Compo Mode toggle along with many polish and quality of life changes, as well as a new soundtrack! The latter is made entirely on Reaper with Plogue's Chipsynth PortaFM VST, emulating the OPLL chip and its variants. Yes, it is entirely FM!

Thank you everyone for so much amazing feedback! I had a blast coming up with this game and doing as much as I could in 48 hours. You all know how difficult it can be to fit everything you want into a game in a single weekend. There are so many ideas and simply not enough time to get everything you want done.
So! Post-jam updates! I just wasn't ready to step away from Birdwatching yet, so I decided to implement some of my original ideas that didn't make it into the jam version as well as some updates based on ya'll's (ya'll's?? you all's???) feedback.
Firstly, I updated the game so if you mistype a letter, you just need to try again to type that letter before moving on. No more starting over! I think the largest tip I got was that the game was too hard. Having to restart from the beginning every time you get a single character wrong is, admittedly, too punishing. To be honest, I haven't played a typing game in a long while and I didn't do any research so I did what I THOUGHT typing games did (no typing games do this lol).
Also, scores have been added! Compete with your bird friends for bird bragging rights! Scores are just the single number shown in the top right of the game and game over screens.
My personal favorite added features is the BIRD GALLERY! I recognize that it can be hard to appreciate birds when you are so busy tippy-typing away at Latin nonsense, so now you can browse all the game's birds are your leisure after playing a round. The gallery only includes the pictures and common/scientific names, though. You still gotta type to get the bird facts. ;)
I made some other cheeky little changes but I guess you're gonna have to play it to find out about those.
Since rating is still going on, the updated version will only be downloadable and the original jam game will stay as the browser-playable version for the time being. When ratings finish I will replace the WebGL game with the most up-to-date version and keep the original available for download.
I hope to have some more updates in the future (probably to add animation, if nothing else), so keep an eye out if your are interested. In the meantime, HAPPY BIRDING!

Play as PeaJay, and get a good time for the relay race you are practicing for. Your parents in the game are supporting you! This is not stated anywhere in the game but you can also chirp for no reason with [Z].
My best time so far is 81.1 seconds.

I've been kinda working on a post-compo version of my game, here's a list of changes:
-time until the pickup spawns as a bar on the screen;
-blood from enemies;
-camera shake;
-fixed the bullet damage kinda being weird;
-awesome mega cool menu art;
-cooler buttons;
-can't hold the gun upside down anymore;
-more upgrades(you can get more bullets to fly out your gun :0);
-probably something else i forgot;

We used Unity localization to localize and adapt our textes for gameplay purposes! We have a translated a list of possibile phrases for NPCs that are not specific to a single potion, but can actually mix up! We have 60 possible phrases in english and italian (that's like 120 possibile total NPC lines!).
I want to present four games that i really enjoyed but that are unknown to most of us as they dont have many ratings yet!
A really fun and great looking/sounding entry in which you need to grow a vortex while protecting it from - well - barrages of space junk. It is really not like any other game i've seen this jam so try it out! Currently at 20 votes.
A very polished puzzler in which you lay down different types of infrastructure to connect points together. It has a really well integrated "tutorial by playing" and is generally a relaxing experience (the 10s timer has been discussed in the comments but i dont feel it hurts too much). Currently at 21 votes.
A cool quasi-rhythm game in which you rock the dance floor as you avoid the ever increasing obstacles (made out of glowing floor tiles) that change and increase every ten seconds. Really damn hard - really fun to play. Check it out! Currently with 33 votes.
Upgrade your tiny outpost to fend of waves of enemies that spawn every - you guessed it - ten seconds. This is the game that i dunked by far the most time into from all games i've played. The perma-upgrade system is just to fun not to like. Trying to get to day 2 is a real challenge! Currently with 25 votes.

Hello everyone !! We are a group of students that created a game for the first time as well as participating in ludum dare. Therefore, after 2 challenging days we managed to make a platoformer game , nice and simple, in which the main character , a cute pig , needs to survive in the wild , eating exotic fruits and running away from predators.

Just finished my second and final post-jam session on my SNES adventure game Borderline.
Yesterday I was focused on key features that didn't quite feel right. Today was audio and general polish. I've added a fairly subtle piano background track along with some sound effects in key places. I also just went though my wish list of minor tweaks and bugfixes. I cut off a few that seemed superfluous and I'm glad to say the list is now empty and the game is done.
Borderline is now at version 1.0 and I'm moving onto other projects.

O.U.A.T.T is “Once Upon A Tiny Time”, a little short story about LHorque the orc… but… maybe our french narrator will explain it better than me (With a really bad french accent "OUATT" means "What")
In this game you will live the typical days of LHorque… and it’s not really calm… every 10 secondes you have to make another task :
🥔 Harvest your crops during the night ;
🛡 Check your defenses and reload them if necessary at dawn ;
😴Take a rest… or catch up if your late at the morning ;
🗡Shake a leg and go fight for your life dur the noon ;
🧹 Clean your zone in the afternoon, it’s better to live in a clean place ;
🌱 Grind the bodies in your machine to create fertilizer…
… and start all over again. 🥵
Fiouf, it’s difficult to live as an orc misunderstood by humans…
Why should you test our game ? Because you have to understand LHorque the orc. (and moreover, we have a… funny…or maybe onerous narrator ? I don’t know, tell me what you think about him.)
