I am looking for some advice on this. I have tried submitting early before but there is this 'unfinished' option.

Does this mean if I submit my entry that I am saying it's COMPLETE! Can I not update it repeatedly up till the compo end time? I feel like that should be fine. I also submit so that if I don't make working progress by the end of the compo at least I have something there.

If the game is playable why not share?

We started working hard on our idea but sadly it was hard to stay focused. However we found an easy fix to that problem.

Progress Update!

The idea for the game is pretty simple. a 2D sidescroller where You play as a postal worker, carrying a box, trying to deliver it to a house at the end of the level. while carrying the box, you can't use various moves such as wall jumping, climbing ladders, etc. This morning I got the box physics done, so now it's time for art. Here's the main character I made. Why a make them a dog? why not?

Originally I decided to make a small dialogue&choice based storytelling game, and I had never touched with a dialogue system before. And Jesus Christ, that thing is way more complicated than I thought, like Yarn, Twine, Ink, Articy...I just get lost in the tutorials. Probably not gonna able to finish a game before the deadline, lol. But I'm going to figure it out anyway, I also learned the Artify for 4 hours and then found out there is too little of documentation on how to use it. Now I'm switching to the ink. Clueless...

Working on a baby delivery game, currently finishing all main mechanics

The last time I participated in Ludum Dare was 2017. It's been a while. This is a cool theme and I'm excited to give it a shot. I've got an idea called "Amazon Orbit" (name will be changed) where you must manage a fleet of delivery space ships. We'll see how it goes! I recently made my own webgl game engine from scratch, so this will be a good exercise of those design decisions heh.

LOL I'm loving this theme for coming up with ideas I can work on later because they're neat 2+ player game ideas, but nothing soloable.

I always make sure what I release during Ludum Dare can be played solo since most people aren't gonna test the game out with other people around. It's already amazing enough when people will print and play something (and I've been so delighted to get the needed ratings the last couple of LDs! 🧡)

Sooooooooo fingers crossed that we (Angel and I) think of something soon! But at least we've got some stuff we're excited to try out later 🥳
