So, now i go to sleep Thank you all for the feedback on the game I've read everything!!! photoem5256158553276798514/emw.jpg This was my first gamejam and it's unforgettable!!! If you haven't had a chance to play and appreciate our game yet, catch up https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/poizon-pets

Overscoping at the last moment

At the last moment i came up with a dumb idea of having an intro comic in my game. I made all of the code for it in 5 minutes while my Artist has been drawing it for the past 2.5 hours.

Do you guys think he is going to make it?

Well, it's done...

I didn't manage to finish for the compo, and I didn't for the jam either. My game is barely a prototype, though I'm happy with it. I have learned a lot (Including the fact that you should avoid to be too ambitious ^^).

Anyway I will be happy of anny feedback on what I've done (The game name is "Untitled Blood Game"), and I can't wait to play all your games. But for now it's time to take some rest.

Second Jam & we did it! Meet our friend Catthulhu

description.jpg In our Tower Defense game, you must help Catthulhu conquer the world and defeat the wicked blobs :cat: We can hardly wait to test out the other results :two_hearts: And now... time for some sleep  :star2:

Rune Survivors

Fight endless waves of armed cultists and summon allies to join you in the fight! How many rounds can you last?

Kill enemies to earn runes, and spend them to summon allies or heal yourself to keep killing more enemies!!!

Can I actually make it?

Final 3 hours and this is my progress. Can I actually submit before the deadline? There's not even audio included yet!

I didn't make it :'(

I know I still have time, but I'm stopping working on my game now. I have a pretty major school exam coming up in a few days, I already got up at 5:30 am yesterday, and the jam ends at 2 am in my time zone, and I don't think it's a good idea to screw over my sleep two days in a row with this exam on the horizon.

I hadn't picked up game dev in a long time before this jam - when I sat at the computer I just couldn't do anything for a while and I'd end up in random places on the internet instead of doing gamedev. I think I thought that this meant I had somehow lost my passion for gamedev, but looking back, for every single jam I have procrastinated similarly to an extent; once I stop procrastinating it's still a really enjoyable experience :)

I was hoping this could be the last jam I'd finish before I leave school in June, but I'm nowhere near done right now. I still got a ridiculous amount of progress done today, and had I done this in the first day (instead of the stuff I could have easily done in half an hour that I had done by the end of the first two days) I would be well on my way to having a jam game that I'd be really proud of. I'm not bothered doing Extra, but I might come back and finish it during the weekend for fun ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Here's what the game looks like right now: I had to severely cut down on graphics to get things done faster (I was initially planning for a dungeony theme but now it's more like an abstract maybe-eliminating-viruses-inside-a-computer-or-some-silly-explanation-for-the-abstractness-like-that aesthetic) but honestly I'm surprised how good I managed to make it look in such a short amount of time with a few incredibly basic sprites and abusing Unity's particle system. Also the main mechanic of summoning walls from the side of the screen (cut down from any environmental hazards) is in, there's just no enemies to use it on...

Anyway I'll hopefully be back next time and actually finish something for the first time in a while :3

We finished our first jam last night! Thanks y'all!

This was my first proper jam (after a failed first attempt like 10 years ago!) and really loved the experience. The crunch! We only had saturday and sunday to make the game (we worked till 2am last night to deliver) but we are very happy to be able to say "Yeah we did it! We made a game!" Far from perfect but I think we kinda ended up making what we intended for the most part (although there was a lot we had to cut).

All share some cool images and I'll be seeing you in jam 56 for sure!

I'm also very happy about the ending, I think it looks cool. If you play the game be sure to tell me what you think about the last image!

SEE YOU!

Alfonso can rest peacefully knowing we are finished

As always we finish late. But this time we are very happy with the endproduct. Rest in peace alfonso, I had to look at your vertices for long enough now. Alfonso Dead.png

We made Drunk Dork on Picthfork! Check out our game!

Game Link

The Hell Master’s grand design is at risk, for the mysterious earth-realm creature summoning ritual has resulted in [an unhandled exception] [fatal error]. While your Master is dormant, you will have to resolve it all by yourself by delivering the required creature through every single circle of Hell.

Drunk Dork on Pitchfork is a hardcore platforming game which requires you not only watch you own step, but also take care of the creature impaled on your pitchfork. Avoid the plenty of perils that await you in the depths of Hell.

Controls: “A” - Move Left “D” - Move Right “Space” - Jump “LMB” - Attach/detach Dork. Hold “ESC” to return to menu.

I personally worked as artist and animator. Thank you guys for check out and I'll go rest because it was tough 3 days haha Hope you will enjoy the game! Better play it on fullscreen by the way.
