Play as a skateboarder who has been summoned to make an appearance at court before noon and pay a fine for the "crime" of skateboarding. Except you don’t have any money and noon is only 2 minutes away! Skateboard around the city gathering as much loose change as you can find and make it to the courthouse in time. Just don’t get caught by the cops!

Wanted to try something different for this, created a handful of mini games that on completed successfully, aid your tower and will attack the Goblin Man for you!

Good job everyone on the Game Jam! This was my first experience with any game jam and it was really fun! Learned a lot about GMS2 in the last 3 days. I definitely got lucky with my team and I would not have been able to create the same game without them ^^

I am new to this gamejam and it was interesting enough for me to make a game here.

I really love maids and I couldn't resist adding them here as well. When I saw the theme "Summoning" - I immediately realized that most of the game would be magic or wizards based. So I was like: "What if i make a game where you have to summon your clones to pass levels?". So I took one of the plots that were written in a dreamlike delirium as a basis.

Combat-first prototype

We started out with a clear idea of making something that felt a bit like "Thronefall" - but we also really like tanks. You can see how we ended up with TANKZ.

MAKING OF THE CHUNKY WOBBLY TANK

We wanted to to make a game with chunky wobbly tanks shooting at each other, so a lot of time was spent designing them. We made them taller than they are wide and long so when animated with physics they really look like they're about to tilt over, which we thought was really fun. We also put a lot of effort in making shaders, materials and textures so that everything fit well together in this warm beach environment.

3 LESSONS LEARNED

• Build your game with a game controller in your hands from the start - makes playtesting it on yourself fast and feels like a nice break
• Physics is always a balance and potential timesink - it worked out well for us on the player tank, but for enemies we spent too much time trying to make physics work, and actually ended up scrapping it to make the deadline.
• Make sure your build pipeline works early (we had problems, ended up setting us back a bit)

Hello everyone, We've managed to get our game out in three days without any crunches and with a great team spirit. In this game, you take on the role of an apprentice sorcerer who must assemble a kaiju modal kit before summoning it. I hope you'll enjoy building this little kaiju as much as we enjoyed creating it. Picture this: a dark, ominous castle perched atop a mountain peak, lightning crackling in the sky, and the faint scent of brimstone in the air. That’s where you’ll find Grishnek, brewing his nefarious plans and conjuring unspeakable horrors from the depths of the abyss.

But wait, there’s more! Grishnek needs YOU to assist in the summoning of an evil entity so malevolent, it makes your mother-in-law look like a fluffy bunny. Yes, YOU! Whether you’re a seasoned sorcerer or just a humble peasant with a knack for trouble, your skills are needed to bring forth this wicked being and wreak havoc upon the land.

Combine tapping the correct runes to the rhythm and drawing the correct glyphs in a shortish window to succeed.
