CYBERSUMMONER Unleashed!

In the year 2025 the AIs took over.

Humanity's only hope was to fuse technology with Dark Magic...

Are you ready to become a CYBERSUMMONER?

ld55_summoning.png

This is an turn-based, area control strategy game. You can play with other players locally, or AI or a mix. It's basically a clone of a game called "Battlesheep" right now, I had a bunch of ideas to make it more summony and make the scoring more complicated but I didn't have time to implement any of them. That's why there is a panel with "rat.exe" and some indicators, you can just ignore those. Perhaps there will be a post-compo version.

Scoring (for now) is simply the number of spaces you have. Try not to get stuck with any spaces that can't split, and try to block your opponents, 16 points is the maximum possible score right now.

You can set it to be all AI playing against each other, which is kind of fun to watch.

Check out the game at the project page: CYBERSUMMONER.

I'll see if I can make a web build this week but for now it's windows-only.

Music thanks to Arman Nobari (since this became a Jam entry).

Good morning

We managed to finish last night. 2 coders, 1 graphics artist, 1 musician and 0 cups.

I'm amazed at how much work gets done the last hours. There were so much more we wanted to do, but we had to keep the scope down.

Use your hearts sparingly!

Hello jammers,

I hope you're all recovering from the grind and either resting or enjoying playing some other LD entries. Sadly I've noticed so far an unprecedented amount of blatant copy-paste or one-word comments from people clearly just trying to rate as many games as possible to push their game up the stack. One person I saw just now wrote a warm and positive review for a game that literally had no link.

The system accounts for this however - remember that the little heart you can give to comments is there for you to acknowledge actual feedback - it's to reward people for taking the community reviewing system seriously.

If you want this community to thrive, remember your little heart is your stake in the economy here. 'wow nice' may be positive, but it's not feedback, and it's not genuine - hold the line, and hold your heart <3 Save it for someone who actually played your game and gave it some thought.

Well done all. Can't wait to play, rate and review your stuff.

Well done eveyone!

We've completed another Ludum Dare! I hope everyone had a blast :) Check out our entry, and I hope you enjoy it!

The art of Mushroom Conundrum

Our good friend @exxilur joined us to jam for the first time and really came through with the art. I wanted give a shout out!

Here we have a posse of mushroom guys(you summon those in game), a wizard, red dragon, hungry cat-goblin and a dwarf wearing a bucket.

little charas.png

The funny faces were promptly put to good use in game!

Also very proud of how the dragon turned out. The animation is just a few frames and the subtlest squash and stretch with the pivot placed below the image.

And this is what we all looked like trying to fix all the bugs on time(partial success...).

SaaS, Summoning as a Service.

Belzosbub, tired of his role of torturing the poor human souls, decides to resign from his position as Great General and founded the newest delivery service in hell. After a long market research, it became evident that cultists all over the world were spending too much time and money trying to gather materials needed for their routine rituals. Now it’s up to our “hero”, Belzebius, to help his former commander general and now CEO. To profit as much as we can from humans and bring glory and wealth to hell (although it is still uncertain what use there is for money in hell).

Our game

Hello everyone ,

In this Game Jam, we have decided to develop a turn-based strategy game. It was really time-consuming, and we needed the full 72 hours instead of the originally planned 48 hours. But it looks really cool now!

Give it a try, we'd love to hear your feedback.

Unfortunately, it has become too graphically complex to run on the web :/

Here's my compo RTS/Base Builder! What do you think? (Web build available!)

banner.jpg

Hi guys, here's for another finished Ludum dare! :champagne: Let me introduce you my RTS/Base Builder called Treant Wars!

Check it out and play it in the browser here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/treant-wars

Anyway, below you can find a shorter description to save you some time. Oh, and feel free to suggest me your games in the comment section, cheers!

About

*The evil hordes are marching towards the sacred groves! *

In the heart of the groves, the Aether Tree stands tall, and you must protect it at all costs!

Can you endure the waves of evil minions and defeat their leader and save the realm?

Features

  • A healthy grove provides you a good amount of Aether, a pivotal resource for this task.

  • Ensure your grove flourishes and plant various trees, all with different behaviours:

    • When grown they provide various passive benefits.

    • And when the time comes, turn them into fierce treants!

    • However as treants, they lose their passive abilities, while they gain active ones!

  • Repel the melee Devilkins and Brutes, the fiery Imps, and keep the Scorchers at distance because they set your grove aflame!

  • Defeat their gargantuan leader and bring peace to the land once again.

How do you edit your gifs?

Hello! Please share how do you edit your gifs? I mean compression, cropping, etc. What editor do you use?

I use windows clipchamp and I suffer every time but other options don't seem much better or they are very complex software that is just rather slow (premiere/davinciresolve). I wonder if there is some fast and slick program for easy and basic editing...

:(
