Summoning and Puzzles? Count me in!

My first Ludum Dare jam game and also my first Pico-8 game. It took a while to get around the new engine but I'm happy that I was able to finish the game in time. Didn't have time to create a banner for the game so for now its a low quality cartridge label

My game is playable on LDJAM or on ITCH
Good job everyone! I can finally sleep
Hey, first time submitter to the jam.
We had a bit of a rough time--our artist bailed partway through the project and we had to scrape together some basic sprites from the internet to finish up, so we didn't have time to implement all the features we wanted....but it works, so I'm calling it a success :)
I'm not sure if the game was actually submitted successfully or not--I'm new to this site, and very, very confused by it. Did the game get published successfully? The page shows that it can be rated, but under my profile it doesn't show that I have any games published.
Also, all the forum posts about Ludum Dare's past events indicated that you need to upload your submissions to other hosting sites and link to them, so that's what we did--we created and itch page and linked to it. The link on the Ludum Dare page, however, says it's 'source code,' which is isn't. There was an embed option though, so we tried uploading it directly to Ludum Dare right before the countdown ended, only to find that the game won't load, even though it works perfectly on itch. I also see on forums that it's possible to make changes after a game is submitted, but there's no button for that. I'd love to just delete the .zip and move the itch link to the description--is there a way to do so?
Thanks!

Check out the game I made in the last 48 hours - tried to take a unique spin on summoning theme. Let me know what you think! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/election-occult

:crystal_ball: Experience the quirky life of a medium in Ghost Link! Summon beloved spirits for one last chat in this funny short game. Can you survive the week and earn your paycheck?

I am so excited about what Dragon Theory Games created this year! So proud of the work everyone put in.
Play as a dwarf shopkeeper selling spell components to mysterious wizards. Rather than embark on a long and tedious adventure, simply summon those lootable mobs to your storeroom! Slay a variety of mobs and take their valuable pieces in a frantic setting with an original metal soundtrack!

Our team barely made it in time this jam; our final build was published with 3 minutes left. There are definitely things we could still improve/fix, but overall we're quite happy with the final result. If you want to play a chill game about making potions with cute slimes, come try our game!

Finally cover art is done too. We've made a game where you play for 2 characters switching between them and solving puzzles. There are 7 levels and dialogues.
Bye ^_^
Have you ever been absolutely destroyed by your own code? In the screenshot below, I'm losing very badly. I'm blue, and you'll notice that there's no blue spaces on the board. I await a slow demise, questioning the life decisions that led me here.
But I believe that you can do better! Click to play HEXX

I think this is my 22nd attempt to participate in a ludum dare and this time it has been incredible because I had the opportunity to not only achieve good gameplay (according to me) but also to participate with my partner in crime.
A new experience unlocked and I am very happy that this time I did not let frustration and fear take over me but continued fighting until I was satisfied. Am I 100% satisfied? Not of course not, it can always be improved but it is something that I don't see as distant as in other participations.
This time I was left out of the deadline but surely it will enter a post-mortem? Well, here I leave a list and of course some screenshots of gameplay for those who are encouraged by the summoning challenge.

I just wanted to say that while I don't think I did well this time, and I "played it too safe" with my project. I still had fun and it was great to do this with everyone and play all your weird and amazing games. Jolly good job.
This is our team entry. Game run like Chrome with 30 tabs open though, since we abused the shader a bit too much. But otherwise we are satisfied with the result. Please give it a try https://chewiecb.itch.io/death-death-resurrection.

By a miracle I managed to submit on time this year. I am eager to see your games!
Also, this is my submission for this year. Eternal Path, it's a puzzle game about positioning. You were imprisoned and invoke Elemental power to try to escape.

A game where you listen with headphones (3D AUDIO) to find hidden dogs! Summon your dogs together!

GOOD JOB EVERYONE! HOPE IT WAS FUN!

We made it somehow. Ain't gonna lie: Especially today I had some "We're so boned and it's all my fault"-moments, but somehow we made it through, even though we had to cut a lot of corners. There was basically no playtesting, no balancing, there's still unintended behaviour, basically all prepared enemy types are missing and so on and so forth.
However, that doesn't matter. What matters is: We handed something in in time that I feel communicates the idea of what we wanted to do. And it looks way better than anything I've ever done before thanks to our dedicated artist. It also sounds better thanks to the sound guy (it's a shame you won't get to hear his honking since the jester didn't make it into the jam version of the game). So: Yeah, it could've needed some more time in the oven, a little more polish and maybe some more code wizardry, but I love it anyways. Especially after not finishing in time for what must've been two or three years straight, handing something in is all I could've asked for.
Takeaways from this jam: - Keep the scale small (I already know I won't, but it'll do for a mantra) - Keep a team of talented, motivated people around if you can (I would've called quits if it weren't for the team tbh) - Prioritise: Having something that barely works is better than ending up with nothing at all. - When the time comes, you gotta kill your darlings. I was SO looking forward to implementing the jester, we had all the stuff prepared but with the puzzle game taking way longer than expected, that just wasn't going to happen. :/ - The biggest one for me this time: Plan your code and don't just start with the most comfortable-looking thing. I thought using a Tilemap for the puzzle-part of our game would make things way easier, but in the end it made polishing nearly impossible due to the constraints it brought, let alone all the other weird, weird things I had to do make things (barely) work.
So yeah... I might not be fully satisfied with the quality of the result, but I'm absolutely happy we pulled through. And I got quite a few lessons from it not only regarding the jam, but also teamwork, friendship and the value of a good breakfast. Andabout Godot, that almost in every way marvelous piece of software that somehow shipped with what must be the most counterintuitive tilemap editor ever unleashed on mankind just casually Pandoras boxed away inside of it.
So yeah... It was an honor pulling through with the team and with all of you guys - whenever we had a short break I looked at the jam page and found someone new to follow. Looking forward to play what some of you absolute madmen seemingly have come up with.
See ya at the ratings!
