It's over! We are free!
First time using Godot for a gamejam and first time coding in GDScript (after years and years of C# and C++)
Despite a lot of cut corners (and particle systems not working) it feels like a huge success!

WELP, for better or worse I reached the end of this. I was really hoping to tackle this with a friend and get much farther in what I could present this time, but...unfortunately said friend flaked out on me during the first hour of this event, so it was up to be find a way to kick my brain into gear and start making something to show off.
Admittedly, I lost a LOT of steam during the weekend as I was really only coming up with creature concepts and only had a small inkling of actual mechanic/level design. I wasn't expecting myself to be this incredibly rusty when it came to game development, but I guess that's what happens when you don't practice planning out stuff and are only typically stuck making assets for others to use. I don't mind that per se, but it gets overwhelming pretty quickly when you realize you forgot basic stuff you knew 5+ years ago and have to scramble to get the most basic things to work.
I'm irritated at how this played out for me (also didn't help that my posts weren't showing on the main page, so no one saw my pleas for help), but I'm also excited to go back to this project after properly relearning how Unity works and taking the time to plan out what I want to do instead of being on constant panic mode.
That said, here's my project in its most simple glory: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/thinkers-labyrinth
Ima go now

if you tried to play it and was not working, now is fixed! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/arcane-arbor
The first ludum and everything went smoothly. Come and try to play our game!

Nice, like 4 min before 3 am (1 am UTC) I made the final commit :D
I am looking forward for any feedback and ratings. Can't wait to get my hands on the other entries!

The embedding guide says that Cross Origin Isolation and SharedArrayBuffer are supported. But for some reason it doesn't work. I also applied the PWA workaround, even though I didn't have that problem, but it has no affect. Anyone with the same issue?
This was our first game jam game and we made it using a new engine (Phaser 3). Pretty pleased how it came out! Please give it a try HERE
Also, can someone please tell us how to use markdown to add a cover image to our post? Does this work?

Is it not possible to modify our page during the Submission Hour? I just want to exchange some images and text

I spent so much time trying to mash bugs I barely made any levels. Sorry! :sob:
I like to think I brought my A game with the puns though.

First time participating in the Ludum Dare - though I've wanted to ever since I watched Notch's livestream years back. I was originally meant to jam with some friends but they didn't end up having time for it, so I tried to make something small and cool myself. Check out the page here :)

Sometimes you need to know when to give up, the game isn't near a playable state yet and I highly doubt I'll manage to work things out in 30 minutes
The scope ghost caught me this time, guess I bit more than I could chew
And to to make things worse as soon as the jam started I caught a very bad cold (it would be funny if it was an actual joke)
But hey, I managed to start a thing I really enjoyed, I like the idea and the art direction I chose, I'll definitely will keep working on it and maybe I'll finish on time for Extra
I leave you with a sneak peek of Daemonium Casino

We've finished our game, Sold By Wizards, with enough time to do a longer link time optimized build for submission hour. This is the best Ludum Dare entry I've ever made, and I'm really happy to have been a party in making this game.
Congrats to all who completed! I look forward to reviewing the games everyones submitted.
my game Don't get seen is out haha play it -> https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/55/dont-get-seen

Game jam complete! I'll also be streaming it live tomorrow at 2pm UTC to talk about its design and then try out other games. When you have time, give our magical typing game Heroes of Keys & Kingdoms a look, we'd love to hear what you think!
