This is the first game I finished , I am so glad I had my friends to code, illustrate and write this game with!
Not my first choice for themes but was still a blast. We defaulted to our comfort zone in some areas, but still managed to get out and try something weird and wacky in the form of voice recognition.
As always, even when we think our scope is ok, we still manage to overscope :sweat_smile:
Congrats to all Jams out there! Check out enChant when you have the chance! It was a blast to make and I hope you have as much fun and laughs as we did making it :smile:
I used the whole 3 days. Only sleep, eat... and jam. In the end I wanted to add too much. Like in regular game dev. I'm specially bitter because the ending is very lackluster, for what I planned.

Finally got my game uploaded, a few minutes before deadline! >_< The page is bare for now, gotta make it pretty & and I am crossing my fingers there are no bugs left in my final build!
Gosh... So shaken from nerves, will make description for the game and post-mortem later. I am just happy I finished a playable build, even if I had to cut a looooot of corners 3_3

Our imp-matching arcade puzzle game is out! As the butler(-in-training), you have to banish the imps by fighting back with your own summoned imps, so that you can combine them and banish them all! ✨️💀💥

This has been my 4th Ludum Dare, and I have to say, I can't believe how much I'm learning from doing these jams. I started off just helping some of my friends make some music and SFX for our first game. Then, I got super interested in game design and started helping out with designing game mechanics. This time, with half of our usual team unable to join the jam, I picked up Aseprite and made pixel art for the first time, and I may have unlocked a new interest!
With first times inevitably comes mistakes, so the art this time around isn't the best, but now I know a lot of what not to do next time!
I guess the moral of the story is a cliche one lol - if you're thinking about doing something, just do it, especially if you don't know what the hell you're doing.
Anyways, here's the game! Pretty proud of this one, even if it's not our most polished work :)

We "finished" a game. We had a lot of fun making demons and coming up with a cool little drawing game. Maybe will do more with it in the future, but for now we love our cozy little game.

Man, we had a blast making this game. We were inspired by Little Alchemy 2 and exploration games like Don't Starve, and this game is our crossover result! You're a spirit without a body who must explore the woods to find ingredients that you combine to try to summon demons, and eventually, a body for yourself. But watch out!
