Time to make an awesome 2D game with libgdx !
I am looking for a engine that exports to desktop and web, but I have had no luck. Any ideas?

Ahhhhhhhhhh yeeaaaahhhh! We’re totally gonna’ make a game
As a side note, does it start in 16 days or is that the deadline? 😮
After having a complete blast with my first jam ever last time with LD #31 (thanks to the GREAT community and support) I have already cleared my schedule for LD #32!
Last year I somehow was floored by the results and placed Bronze in Sound (I have no idea how) so yeah…. no pressure haha!
Audio Rank: Somehow got 3rd last time… so yeah no pressure.
Better Graphics: I’m a graphic designer, there’s no excuse for my lack of effort last time!
Management: DO NOT restart 7 new games within the first 12 hours! No… not again…..
Interact: Meet more great people in this awesome community!
Engine: Unity 5
Graphics: Photoshop, Illustrator, Mischief, Wacom Bamboo Tablet
Audio: Garageband, LMMS, Audacity, LSDJ (maybe)
Stream: Twitch and OBS (maybe, still debating)
Can’t wait to see the theme and play everyone’s awesome games!
I’M IN!! I’ll be doing something for LD32. Maybe I’ll use C++ and gl, maybe Lua, maybe allegro. I’ll definitely bring out the Gimp.
Try my game right here!

I’ll admit, the game differs a bit from the established pillars of Pong. Have a good day fellow darians!

well I’m away for that entire weekend! hahaaa…
Ludum Dare finishes in the middle of Monday for me though so maybe I’ll spit something out then….
FlashDevelop – AS3 – Gimp – ptCollage – Audacity – AS3SXFR – (Unity and Blender???? Nah)
Hi Fellow ! Does anyone know why this year they have a theme suggest ? Isn’t usually a vote ?
I tried 30 I didn’t get a game done this year. I’m gona try again
Language: Batch
Text Editor: NotePad ++ / TextLime
I hope to have over 3 hours of game play.
Its text based so I should be able to.
If you know batch it will be hard but I want some visuals.
good luck!I will be going again. But this time I may have a partner.
Language: Java
Engine: Tree2d(My Engine I’m creating)
Visuals: Paint.net
Sound: Bfxr
I have been trying to find an engine that works on desktop + web. Any ideas?
I am in for my third time!!! It’s coming so fast!
I will be using almost the same stuff as last time:
Language: Java
Graphics: Paint.NET, Inkscape and Piskel
Music: FL studios, incompetech.com, or Abundant Music. Depends on how much time I have left
SFX: Might use SFXR if I have time.
A simple copy and paste will work.
Just a few changes.
PLAY IT HERE.
This will be my first game jam, I hope I do alright!

It was a about two years back when I wanted to do LD.. I chickened out.
I enjoy creating things from the ground up whether it be a game or application and I just didn’t have the confidence to make something in 48 hours. But I think I’m gonna give LD 32 a try, my skills perfected and ready to go.
Code: Umm.. C++.. or maybe Java. Or Python? I’ll figure that out based on time. Its gonna be made from scratch. More than likely 2D.
Art: Paint.net and my simplistic programmer art.
Sound: Bfxr.. or royalty free stuff and junk.
I can’t wait to see what everyone creates. In my opinion that’s the best part.
Cheers!
Yet another I am in post.
I’m in!
I will either be using Haxe, with the amazing library haxeflixel, or, maybe, Unity. Probably Haxe, I learn a lot more programming wise, unity feels like it is just a bunch of code that looks like spaghetti with all it’s coupled code. If I spent time with Unity, I could probably get around that, but just using code with Haxe gives me as much freedom as I’d like.
Art: The amazing Pyxel Edit
Music: Autotracker or sunvox. I never get enough time for sunvox.
Sound FX: SFXR, or derivatives.
IDE: Sublime Text 3
Music: Spotify
etc etc. Anyone actually read these posts?
Hey everyone! Been a long long time since I’ve done a jam as the Global Game Jam site I usually go to didn’t participate this year. Sad day, indeed. It was my first game jam, so it holds a special place in my heart. The theme was an ouroboros (image), so our game had three players struggle for control over one ouroboros in a side-scrolling platformer. Each player could move left or right, and the more players holding the same direction, the faster you’d go. I did some level design for it, which didn’t seem like much, but it was still an incredibly exciting experience. And hey, the jam organizer told us that our game would be a great drinking game, so that’s worth something, I guess.
I later participated in the 2013 Molyjam where everyone chose a Peter Molyneux quote as their theme. “And I thought, if this crashes the plane, me turning on my phone, then so be it.” was the quote I ended up with, and it resulted in Business Call, which I was very proud of. I made some tweaks, fixed some bugs, made some additions, and released it on Google Play as an Android game last year as my first ever commercial product.
I’ve been in kind of a creative rut since then. Having trouble coming up with new ideas and whatnot. I’m hoping that this year’s Ludum Dare can fix that, as I really really want to make some games!
Last but not least, here’s some links to the games I’ve mentioned in this post. Check them out if you’d like!
Business Call (Original PC Release)
Business Call (Google Play Android Release for $0.99)
Feel free to share your comments on these games and let me know what you all think! I always like hearing feedback on my work, and I look very forward to making a videogame in a few weeks for Ludum Dare! It’ll be my first time participating in this particular jam, so I’m very excited to see what everyone and myself can come up with! Happy jamming, all!
I’ve been doing great!
Up until last December, I consistently quit on Ludum Dare’s. The idea of completing a Ludum Dare, let alone an actual game was unfathomable to me. Shortly before Ludum Dare, I started work on what would later be named ‘Never Stop Fighting’. It was on and off until Ludum Dare came, and I actually completed a game for it!
That completion got me hyped up and carried me through until just about a week ago, where ‘Never Stop Fighting’ officially released!
I have to say, it feels great to not only break my quitting streak on Ludum Dare, but to also release my first real game!
I’d seriously appreciate it if you’d check it out and maybe leave some feedback so I can maybe get things a little better next game I make!
In for LD#32 solo compo!
This time, maybe I’ll try something with VS2015 and Javascript just to see how that toolchain works… or I’ll go back to trusty haxeflixel again … dunno. We will see. Hope there will be a theme that give me some inspiration as well 8)
Haxe’s compiler allows compiling to anything: iOS, Android, HTML5, NekoVM, nodeJS, flash, C++, python, C#, Java & PHP
