Time for some sleep, but I'll be back at it in a few hours. 💞 🕹
So finally I've managed to actually start a game for Ludum Dare. It's only took... years!
After a brief period of illness this one was hanging by the threads as well, but we'll brave it!
The game will be small and simple and silly. Better to finish, yes?
GL&HF to everyone else!
I'm starting late but I'm still going to try my best.
Hey people,
Since we're jamming together, let's music jam too.

Ho there!
I just realised I haven't actually started my Journal yet! So I'm following through on using Unity instead of GM:S this time round and it's been a real challenge. But I'm learning lots!
This theme was perfect for something that really feels appropriate for the anniversary to me, and that is a recreation of my very first entry, Pressurised! Hopefull it will come about but right now I have this silly teaser using audio I stole from Doubleking.

It's been fun so far. Let's try and make some progress now, eh?
Hi hi everyone. After spending the last night thinking in small worlds :earth_americas: we have the idea a game about ants :ant:.
Today we finish the ideas discussion and start the production part.
Here you can check the art of the game: http://imgur.com/a/W7BQL
And the programming: http://imgur.com/uT7ZURY
It's concept art / placeholder time!

We want all players to be cute little foxes, in a small world where two factions, the foxes and arctic foxes, are at war. Each faction will control a small segment of the spherical world, and will have to battle the other faction for control of all the segments.
This will need resources, and players will start as farmers. They'll have to gather enough food and ore to make soldiers, then improve them to annihilate the other team.
One player in each team will be elected the Fox Goddess, and will help their faction towards victory through almighty powers!
Placeholder elements so we have something nice to look at while programming and debugging:

Simple strategy (not about decaying fantasy races, if you know what I'm talkin 'bout) we're working on right now.
Anyway, here's mock-up.

Was working till midnight on this! Up and ready for another day of development!

Hybrid space shooter/platformer?? Interesting idea anyways...
Hey !
Starting late again this year. Stayed up until theme announcement, thought a bit and then went to sleep. Here I am waking up 15h later.
So I'll be making a... kind of... strategy/management game? Basically you have your people on a small world (an easy one ^^') and you have to take control of the world by choosing to prioritize certain policies. There will be other people on the world run by AI. You can take control peacefully or not. It will depend on what you choose and what the AI choose (or RNG :-°)
I don't know yet if I do that in JS with Pixi.js or if I go and try some UE4 this time. We'll see how it goes :)

I don't know why, but I'm super excited just to have a github repo up :p
I had this idea a while back about creating a slime crawling on walls. I had put a good amount of thought into how to implement it, and I think I can finally do something with it now. So, here goes!
Waited long for the theme and once I got it me and my brother worked hours with no down time (Except for bed). The game is looking pretty good for what was achieved in that little time.
Check out some screenshots: http://imgur.com/a/hKKD4
The objective of the game is to collect resources from things floating around. With these things you collect you can upgrade your planet and once your health gets to a certain level you will slowly grow from a small world to a bigger one. Beware of the timer as it can mess you up and you lose. This game you have to get a score and it goes by how the highest health you have.
Interested or wanna say something about the game leave a comment and we will try to see it as soon as possible.
B-mox is a little deep-space probe. She is lost among the stars and determined to find her way home!

Read the theme last night, and I finally have an idea of how i'm going to do this. Sidescroller! Where the enemies stay the same from level to level, the scenery is the same level to level and they just get tougher.
I wanted to learn some C# and build it in that, but since I didn't have time to prep and learn it ahead of time i'd rather stick with something i'm a little more comfortable with for this Jam. I'll be using native Java and possibly other things. We'll see. I'm not a big fan of creating pixel art. I like how it looks just the process of it isn't something I enjoy doing. So not looking forward to doing that. But gotta do what I gotta do. :)
Back for another Dare. Had limited success in prevoius comps so hopefully everything runs smoothly
Hey everyone,
Lazy start to day one (took me a wile to participate), but here I am. I hope I can finish a game on time this year!
Good Luck! to everyone!
Either you play with someone else or are trying to get the input by yourself to get the player around a small world.
Advice: Chrome
WebCam not for iOS ! Mobile will need A.I. for the player control or multiplayer which might happen tomorrow.

You can control the player with keyboard and the stone with either the webcam or mouse if you don’t have a webcam.
