hello
hello
After losing several hours to forgetting how quaternions and normals work, I am happy to have come out the other side. Time for some sleep!

No screenshots to share at this point, still very early stages. So early in fact that I think I bit off more than I can chew since I can't dedicate myself to this project this weekend. That said, I like where this idea is going and even if I don't make the deadline I am planning to finish it off and get it up for people to play even if you can't vote on it.
Hi everyone!
The game I plan to make:
A strategy/management game about a group of people that live inside the metro stations after the nuclear war.
Conquer new stations, explore the unknown and watch for your dwellers.
You can watch me developing game on twitch – https://www.twitch.tv/pixeye
A little past the 10 hour mark and I'm relatively happy where my renderer is and my command line interface is able to process some rudimentary commands (clear and connect so far). Have a gif.

I'm making a single player game out of Dmitry Davidoff's famous mafia parlour game (1986). I'll be using the Werewolf variation of it. Although the original game relies heavily on human interaction, I'm confident I can have the same tension without human rivals.
I can't even get my ship to move forward relative to its current rotation: A good start, I feel..
Hi there! This is my first Ludum Dare jam. Although I am a bit without time I will try to complete a game for this weekend.
The Game I will be developing will be a satellite launcher (duh?!?).
Tool I will be using:
Magica Voxel; Unity; Bfxr; Audacity;
Just got my tomatoes watered!

I'm doing way better than I expected here- already got a working prototype about 6 hours ahead of schedule. Hooray!
This is the spawning point in the game:

Lorem ipsom dim som??> No idea what to put here, just following the advice on the front page.
Is it can be taken a few different ways. One of my early thoughts was shotting asteroids at earth which would be small world target.
The city I live in has recently posted the following sign Feeding Geese Ducks Prohibited So if you are a 15 foot long (body length) 2000 lb goose - it's a small world to you
Which has inspired "Goosing Traxler Park" as this is a real place I have made a map from google maps and going to shoot footage of the sign and hope to get some goose and duck sounds from there.

Due to having a chest infection, progress has been difficult. My schedule went out of the window. However, I have managed to create this user interface.

I'm a little confused by the new website, but this looks like the right place for this :)
So I'm in once again, after over a year of not being in.

Happy jamming everyone!
I just can't get enough of this little model i made: https://i.mlgimg.xyz/12da7446.png
Since everybody said last time I should have posted this sooner:
You can make a game for a game jam that works great on your machine, but is still a pain to play/rate/criticise for others. I have done so in the past. Please respect your fellow developers and their time! Make sure they can rate your game easily.
Do not …
… call your download theme.zip, ludumdare.tar.gz, game.exe or ld48.jar: If two people name their file after the game jam, or the game jam theme, there will be confusion.
… put a “Web” link to a Unity WebPlayer thingy or Java Applet: This does not let players know if your game works on Linux/Android/RasPI/iOS.
… upload .exe files only for Java, Lua and Python games: This excludes players on OSX/Linux who could just run your game if you had spent less effort packaging it.
… write “there is no Linux build”: Now it shows up when you for “Linux”.
… make arrows+x+z your only control scheme: Some people have French or German or totally different keyboards
… terminate the program on victory or player death
Do …
… give unique filenames: something like developerjamgamename.zip
… put your name, twitter, game name in the title screen
… be specific about platforms: Name your links Web(HTML5), Web(Flash) or Web(Unity)
… provide platform-independent packages: Upload .love/.jar/.py/.z5 files for mac/linux users if you can’t make an .app or .deb file. Other game devs may have java or inform7 or löve installed for their own game development.
… say what language/engine you used: Some people can’t run certain engines or versions of engines (like UE4in Wine or Unity 5.1 with certain integrated graphics processors)
… make unusual requirements clear: This includes gamepads, LAN or local multiplayer, motion controllers like Kinect, VR hardware
… host a public server for online multiplayer
… test if your game works on another machine: Sometimes you forget to package an asset or other dependency like an mp3 codec.
… port to more platforms later
… keep the time/effort to play your game in mind: People who rate 25 games don’t have time to sit through half-hour cut scenes or clicker games that require you to click for half an hour straight.
Thanks, and please comment what common mistakes make rating hard for you!
Its decided - doing game about defending body cells from various pathogens.
I realised I never mentioned the idea! We are working on a VR maze on a small planet using impossible spaces to make the world feel strangly full. I've just completed a keycard prototype for doors so we can introduce some kinda dynamic maze. Tesrym has given us some textures and basic models to start using. NegitiveZero is away at the moment, but has been getting on with his spaces prototype. Stream is up here: https://www.twitch.tv/kaffse
