Idea change in first two hours
After drawing first sketches, realized that Mosquito life is a bad idea for a game.
I want to do exploration in a small world.
That's why I changed idea and working on a Potions.

I'm in! Let's do this!
This is my 3rd time entering Ludum Dare, and for the first time ever I am using Unity. I will be joined by my friend CrystalFace who is doing the art for our game. I hope you will enjoy the goofy little game we make. :)

Sometimes you just forget how to tree.
I almost have a game now, only 13 hours late :stuckouttongue:

Feeling pretty good so far! Time for me to sleep, though ^^
I've got a pretty solid idea of where I'm headed, just need to plot out some gameplay.
Yay!
Things arent looking well for this bear. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1ZRTeOwxQNaM3gzRWExWnBnZkE/view?usp=sharing
Too many bugs, taking a break.
After forgetting about the hole jam, me and my friend here have finally started to create some kind of an idea.
Basically it's a platformer. but it's a platformer where the player can make the world in the area around him smaller. the player has to use this abillity to solve puzzles and continue forwards, too do something. (we're still working on it)
Doing something with a circular planet you walk around and complete puzzles on... Having troubles with light reflection.
So for our game we thought we would allow people to create their own planet. You are guided by a narrator and have to complete a set of mini games at each phase of a planets creation: core, body, crust, and finally life. At the end you will end up with a rich life-filled planet, or a baron rock or something in between, dependent upon how well you do at each stage.
6 hours in and we have one stage complete and very little artwork done! Lunch time now though.
But not sure If i'll finish :sunglasses:

The gif recording came out a bit weird, but here's some cool movement and particles.

We're in!!!! HYPED
We are currently discussing locomotion for VR, which is best to do for our game. If you're not aware, locomotion is one of those unsolved problems for VR, moving a player in a weird way can make them feel ill. Originally we thought we'd avoid it completly, but it seems we might need to something to move around our impossible maze. Prototypes are in progress!
After countless attempts to make a health system whill haveing itso that i can kill things by touching them i can say that I (can't type)am goint to stop for a while and resume later #solojamftw
Some sinuses, cosinuses and it's looking pretty good.
I'll now implement user interface and testing commands. That'll allow us for faster content creation and debugging.
Hello!
We're in!
With 'we' being a small (currently 7, more might pass by in the coming days) group of first-year CS students, anxious to make our first game together! Ludum Dare seems like an excellent opportunity.
We're using Unity for development.
From here on out the blogging will be taken over by out blogging member, who's posts will be copy-pasted :)
'A Small World'. Why not take the theme literally? Following the announcement we put our heads together and conceptualized a story and design. The universe has broken and all elements have been scattered across dimensions. The player, with his past lost, ventures through the barren remains, exploring and discovering the lost elements on increasingly larger planets. Our team just started on the development(, figuring Unity out on the go :) - Red.). As I am writing this post, we have a couple of people working on the models and the world, another on the storyboard and we even have someone working on custom soundtracks. Please enjoy our first piece of concept work below!
