Advice needed - Void OnMouseDown()

Need some advice - currently using

private void OnMouseDown()
{
    if (active)
    {
        Destroy(gameObject);
    }

}

But it seems really unreliable - sometimes it works sometimes it seems to miss the click - the game object in question is moving and it seems to be more reliable if you click on the leading edge.

Any thoughts?

Peace and love

Can I publish two games?

I just made my first game in 24 hours!😎

But I still have a great idea, and I am going to make it!😆

Do I need create a new account for my next game?

Placeholder Scenary

I'll change the scenary (the lava and the low poly rocks), but this helps to visualize what I have in mind.

It's a start

giphy.gif Second time taking part in the Jam with our 2,5 man squad. After a few Unity crashes and wasting a few hours from the start of the Jam on sleep (not in that order) we got a prototype of this deadly kind-of-like-tetris game where you get squished by boxes, but that's only part of the stuff we plan for the game. Gonna post another update when we've done something more notable :p Plz don't point out I suck at our own game

Progress Report: Courier Panic!

Okay, we've had a night! I worked on my art for a few hours and made a mockup. This morning, I'm working on building the game core itself in Godot.

I said that I'd be making randomly-generated worlds, but decided against it for time reasons. In fact, I feel like I spent way too much time on the art.

The musician on my team has made a really cool music loop. I like it, but he wanted to add some more stuff to it. He's now working on some SFX and he's even got some engine sounds we can tweak!

Working today as hard as I can. I want a game done.

Progress Report 001

We added our first fighter into the arena... Mr. President!

Next: - add another fighter - deal with collisions/attacks - count points - organize menu > start > round > end screens - publish first version on itch.io

Meet the puppers

Sadly, there's not a drop of artistic talent to be shared between @goffmog and I. But that's okay. 'Breathing Space' is a card game, and as such, we're trying to get away with making use of limited animations and free vector art. On the programming front, it looks like @goffmog's succeeded in developing the beginning of a card-flipping animation engine and is now refining his efforts.

Meanwhile, I wrote doggos:

1)Enamoured of naps, silk blouses, and other dogs’ chew-toys, Ronaldo is the consummate canine hedonist. His only flaw? Acute flatulence.

2)Deeply philosophical even for a dog, Sadie is haunted by impossible conundrums: what precisely defines a ‘good girl’ and how can one know when they’ve achieved such an exalted status?

3)Bella is the perfect example of what every space dog should be: courageous, even-tempered, and clever enough to play four-dimensional games of fetch.

4)Despite the name, Bull is not a very big dog. In fact, he is a very, very small dog, so small, in fact, that he is occasionally mistaken for the resident chinchilla.

5)Born to terrestrial parents, Luna never quite developed a knack for living in space. Instead of pirouetting elegantly through the air, she dogpaddles through the zero-gravity parks.

6)Brutus will eat anything: bacon, celery, 3D-printed veal, the detritus of last night’s Sunday roast, stale pastries, books, shoes, circuitry, dice, the cartridges for your security team’s plasma guns.

7)Once the property of a bad-tempered gambler, Engine has now become the spoiled mascot of the engineering crew. In exchange for their adulation, Engine spends all his time defending his namesakes from mice.

8)If someone could just harness the kinetic force of Sunshine’s tail wagging, it’d be possible to power the ship forever.

9)Some animals are built for love and others are built to inspire fear. War’s owner was clearly hoping that their pup might grew up to be intimidating. Spoiler: he didn’t.

We have a start!

The game so far is about looking about and picking up toys. Because when you run out of space, you have to clean up, you see? Plus, it's space toys you pick up.

It works on laptop and Oculus Go, but I don't have a cardboard to test with. If someone does and is willing to try it for me, drop me a line!
