Let's go!
Our workplaces!
Our workplaces!
IT IS 9:34 A.M. SATURDAY YEAH
I'm gonna make a kinda Pilot Wingsy / Star Foxy game about flying and shooting enemies and harvesting their souls to get enough power to stay in the air. I'll probably start with the hovercraft code from my LD37 entry and spend most of today getting the flying/shooting/harvesting right. Finished some concept art already I have no idea how I'm gonna model this in Blender:

So I am proberly in.
I like the theme. But I haven't got that much time this week. Maybe I'll join the full Jam. Let's see.
Current idea is something to do with a little robot and scavaging.
The second scene that includes the candy corn soldiers asking for extra sleep and cherries is now done! Again, don't think anyone has done that yet! This scene is also backgroundless, and will add that later on. Right now I'm focusing on the code, and later on polish. Thinking of doing something like a tell-tale game, sorta thing... I'll have to rethink that later...
Guys, we're running an offline event here in Minsk! ⚡ Hope that this Ludum Dare will be rather creative and challenging.
Looking forward to share the news about our games. 😎
Game for mobile phone. Thematic are ancient centuries, Pharaoh, life after death.
Just woke up, and saw the theme. First some brain food,
and then concepts. Hopefully I have a feature ready version of whatever I come up with this night.
Got basic base building in, enemy suicide units and some turret AI, plus some effects.
Gonna go grab a bite to eat. Watch the carnage on my twitch while I'm out.

as lack of time this weekend but maybe i can free me some spare time (like now). I like the theme and it is perfect for a game idea that i had some months ago - so i try it. Starting now - and for the first time a real LD :)
It's 11 A.M here, 8 hours after Jam's start. So far I managed to:
It's time to start working :)
Didn't expect to be spending the first few hours updating windows, hopefully I can get started.
So far made the spritesheet for the player and imported t into unity, also wondering if the standard assets are allowed because I have no idea how im going to do this otherwise and if so im still stuck as the import window is just a white screen
@chaotikza and I have been making some progress since the start of this morning. We did start about 4 hours after the official start, but we've got an overly complex whiteboard going already.

The plan is to build out the subsystems required to make the game work and start putting together the systems later today to make a coherent and finished prototype. Holding thumbs to get everything done on time! :robot:
"You wake up in a cave. Your power indicator blinks red rapidly. Panic.
"Luckily, this cave is littered with energy-laden crystals which you can consume to replenish your power source. Find your way to the surface, and don't run yourself out of power!"
Some early concept and design work:

Rough sprites:

In-game movement:

You play as an android with a gun arm. Be careful with using your gun though, it uses a lot of power!

I got everything imported into the game and now I've lost track of my game mechanics and can't think of what to implement.....Arghhhh!!!!
