Ludum Dare 47 October 2–5, 2020

Another LD officially over

My sympathies to all the games that didn't get enough ratings, especially to those that had rated well over 20 other games themselves.

For future reference, I usually won't bother rating a game if they have more ratings on their game than they have provided to other games, regardless of whether they are in danger or otherwise.

It also greatly improves the odds of being played if it runs in the browser.

Congrats to everyone who did make it to be rated, be happy that you did.

Now that voting has ended for Ludum Dare we can release our Post-jam update.

  • Added new Shader for the "completed room glow"
  • Added support for 720p mode, press "P" to toggle between 1080p and 720p resolution.
  • Minor game balance changes (Made it slightly more difficult)
  • Fixed a bug that caused you to brick your game (by entering an invisible door during the boss fight)
  • Fixed various small memory leaks

Just before the results, final version is finally out!

We’re incredibly surprised and happy with the response to Bjorn to Dance. We really hope everyone had as much fun playing it as we had making it. We’ve also had so much fun playing everyone else’s games–so many incredible ideas and excellent executions. Cheers, everyone! See you in Ludum Dare 48!

HEY THERE

2020-10-27-174425em2560x1440/emscrot.png

Hey everyone!!! While we wait for the results I just wanna give a huuuuuuuuuge thanks to the whole community (and especially those who took the time to play SORO BORO). All the feedback I got was overwhelmingly helpful and means a ton to me; I learned so much from this jam and feel like I owe a lot to the community going forward.

Also just wanna say wow, awesome work to everyone who finished a game for ld47. I'm blown away of the quality of so many of the games I played throughout the jam, it has really inspired me to keep improving my own skills as a developer.

I hope you're all feeling mighty proud of yourselves, this was my first ludum dare but definitely not my last. Amazing experience.

Seeya next time :3

A little something whilst you wait

A Night Around The Fire Post Jam version is ready to play. I have never worked so hard in all my life. I have loved every moment of making it and look forward to trying to fund it's real potential being realised. I would love to hear what you think.

Web version a bit stripped back. Windows build is the best version I have made.

Enjoy and good luck with your score. This has easily been the best LD I have taken part in. Loads of great games and Hamsters. Thanks y'all.

CONGRATULATIONS

Just wanted to say congratulations to everyone who submitted!

It's awesome to see so many creative games come out of a single weekend, and regardless of how you place in the rankings...

YOU MADE A GAME. Be proud!

Game jams truly are a wonderful thing

The next one can't come soon enough

From that game into this game

Hello,

I'm turning my LD 47 game into a real game since i really enjoyed making it, and some of you seemed to enjoy playing it. I have a lot of ideas, but also very keen on hearing yours.
