Ugh…
Just woke up. I need to start working on the game. I already have a basic gameplay concept. The only question is if I can make it at all. :/

Hi,
my idea is visualising but i’m stuck at a very simple math problem:
From the center (200,150) i want to spawn objects an move them direction mouseclick until they hit the border of the screen.
I’m able to increment x, y correctly, what i’m not able to do is to let the object move in the correct direction the mouse was clicked.
Hope someone can help me
So, I spent most of yesterday setting up a basic environment, and then moved on to support for level editing. I did manage to get six hours of sleep, though- figured it was best to be well-rested.
Artwork is placeholder stuff, gameplay is non-existent (you can’t even move the player character without using the level editor, heh). I’m hoping the fast level creation is worth the time it took to set up editor– next area of focus is the art.
After thinking about it a while, I decided to reverse the expectations a little. Your enemies are alone – and you are the monsters that haunt them.
We’ve managed to get our trees the way we want them, and there is now a loop of scary xylophone music to accompany it.
On an unrelated note, Audit fell in love with Satan’s genitals.
I think its time for a break.
I’ve got more of the framework setup now. Currently eating lunch. And working. Hope things move along smoothly. Got all day to work.

The player has animations now, can move across screens, and I’m making environments now that the player will exist in. They will have monsters and stuff that the player has to fight off, of course. (Well, technically “avoid”, as the character has no means of defending herself). She need to find secrets of her past in order to escape her confinement, but two things pose a great obstacle: the perpetual snows of outside, and the fear that builds up in her bones. Get too scared, and you might just have some serious problems.
Not much update graphic wise, so no new stuff there. Audio wise, I got the steps / phrases / and chains clicking forward, so you can kinda sequence. There is only one instrument currently, and you have to load the sample from the debug console, but here is a quick demo of what you can make so far.
I was at a party when Ludum Dare started, so I checked a friend’s phone for the theme. I personally was hoping for territory, I had an idea for that, something like a turn-based hexagon-based strategy game. But I’m quite satisfied with the theme. On the way home from the party I came up with three ideas:
What I want to do for this Ludum Dare is to create something 3D and graphically impressive, that’s why I choose Horde3D as a 3D graphics engine. With that in mind, I chose the third idea.
The atmosphere I would like to have in my game would be something similar to Amnesia or Bioshock. (But I’m pretty sure my skills won’t suffice for that.)
I began modeling and just finished the Sheriff’s office:
I messed up the animation so I think I’ll give that up for the moment. Everything else looks good, right? Right? Whoops.
Here’s a screenshot of my progress so far (and my first post!). The working title is Forever Astronaut. You’re stranded alone on a small piece of space debris that appears to be harbouring simple life, and you need to find a way off before you starve to death… but, by the end, will you want to leave? (Intrigue!)
Well after a lot of procrastinating I’ve sort of got a rough outline of a story written and I’ve got a bunch of functions in place ready to put the game together. I guess I should actually start adding content!
I’d show a screenshot at this stage, but there is literally nothing to show.

Alright, time for sleep. Because of unforeseen events yesterday I ended up being distracted, but I did get some progress:

Now to add logic.
Ok so I ended up working on a super move instead, it consumes more of your energy and has an awesome effect. It should make it much easier for you to remain solitary.
I need to get graphics and music done, but I haven’t finished the gameplay stuff yet…
I need to focus :p
Parker Levine – Rockstar – Lead Guitarist & Vocalist
Needs some space to get mopey and write his next album.
I have a basic engine,with a main menu (WHY?)!
Only lacks collisions haha. I am starting to think I cannot sleep a second more.
