Exit : Escape from the bunker

Hi folks. I am proud to present to you my first project available on Desura. It is a small-scale FPS based on the old-school pixelated style. To start this game I have used this crazy source, but I have changed many many many aspects – it’s totally different now. In random mazes the player must find his way to pass through 20 levels filled with aggressives creatures to reach the surface (LD29). In crates we find ammo, supplies and health – also some skulls which we can throw in the face of our enemies (find the golden skull)… I have some keys which I distribute for free. If you want try my game, send me a private message by Desura and I will give you a key. You will be friendly if you post a review on my page. Thank you for you support my friends ++

Flappy Geek

Good night folks. I have accomplished my mission and now I need to sleep. My game (which isn’t a revolutionary project) is finished. I didn’t find quickly an idea to respect the theme “connected worlds”. Finally I have chosen cynicism as a concept and Flappy Bird (again one sequel) for the physics. Soon I will read first reaction from users/players. Maybe I’m right – maybe not :)

Flappy Geek is here and he wait you :

Node Alpha?

An entire game on One screen? Hum… I think there is some restriction, but the challenge seems to me interesting. I am trying to do something new – maybe off topic. You can see a picture about what I have done and I like this gameplay. There is no story and no enemies – only the same room with a ray which is created by an artefact. This flux can be reflected on surfaces in order to supply energy to a node. In fact, it’s another 3d puzzle game – but mine :) I don’t know how many levels I can do. Good luck folks and see you later ++

This game is named Node Alpha. Not the best, but not the least name I have ever heard :)
Here the last shot from my game. I am trying to improve difficulty, but code is closed. There is a little bug without importance. Maybe later I will do something in order to fix him. Now I prefer work on levels. See you later ++

Now I work alone. My coder is out :)

PS : seriously I am very happy, considering for different posts about different projects which has been created during this night. I think that this new LD48 session is full of really good contributions. I am proud to participate with you – skilled friends ++

Node Alpha (final)

NodeAlpha

I’m particularly proud of my 3d puzzle game “Node Alpha” because it’s the first LD project which I have made from a scratch and only during 72 hours. LUDUM DARE is a great way in order to test the quality (and the mistakes) of its own game. Many users who have tried my game have told me where I should do something better next time and these tips are useful. However, I am very surprised because I noticed that few people take the time in order to read the first indication on the project home page – where are obviously some important informations about controls and gameplay. I will remember this annoying fact for LD32. A short explanation will be good enough. Now I wait the results. You can evaluate my game – Node Alpha here. I beg you – I struggle against a lake of rates. There is a little problem with the web version because mouse cursor goes out from the screen. Try the version as a free application for a best experience. Bye all and see you later. Thanks LUDUM ++

Now my game Node Alpha is gold. I have created 12 levels (+3 as tutorials). I remind you that this project has been developed for this last LD session. Node Alpha is a puzzle 3d in which you must link different artefacts by an unique lazer beam. Focusing on each artefact you can use the three mouse buttons in order to adjust angle of each artefact and to displace them on dynamic surface. Maybe you should spend five minutes to understand these mechanics. This game is free – my gift for you. I will be happy reading your feedback. Thank you all for your vote and comments. I wish you the best for 2015 ++

UltraFlow Clone

For those who have tested and liked the game UltraFlow, I wanna show a little project which I did recently so as to increase my understanding about some physics on Unity 5. These scripts allow me to generate some sprites with behavior so as to create all obstacles and more. For the physics on the bullet, I use a drag&drop script. This way the project works fine on mobile device and WebPlayer. It’s an alpha, but you can see the first steps on screen. I think that it’s good enough. Try it if you want. See you later for the next Ludum Dare session…

I would like to know your point of view ++

UltraFlow Clone

UltraFlow

When the bullet is blocked near of a corner, you can attract it to the center by using the C key :

void Update() {
#if UNITY_STANDALONE || UNITY_WEBPLAYER
// enables/disables the epicenter force field so as to attract bullet to the screen center
if (Input.GetKeyDown (KeyCode.C)){
if (_epicenter == false)
_epicenter = true;
else
_epicenter = false;
}
#endif
// point base so as to define where is the bullet
Vector3 viewPos = _camera.WorldToViewportPoint(target.position);
var vm = target.gameObject.GetComponent<Rigidbody2D>().velocity.magnitude;;
// limits velocity – more or less
if (vm >= 5.0f)
vm = 5.0f;
if (vm <= 2.0f)
vm = 2.0f;
// adds a force on the bullet so as to create a force field
if (_epicenter){
if (viewPos.x > 0.5f)
target.gameObject.GetComponent<Rigidbody2D>().AddForce(-Vector2.right * vm);
if (viewPos.x < 0.5f)
target.gameObject.GetComponent<Rigidbody2D>().AddForce(Vector2.right * vm);
if (viewPos.y > 0.5f)
target.gameObject.GetComponent<Rigidbody2D>().AddForce(-Vector2.up * vm);
if (viewPos.y < 0.5f)
target.gameObject.GetComponent<Rigidbody2D>().AddForce(Vector2.up * vm);
}
}

Simple gesture script for Unity

By waiting the next LudumDare I did yesterday a little script which seems to me useful for those who are doing some game on mobile device – however it works fine with mouse events for your application or WebPlayer project. By using this script it will be very easy to recognize some swipe movement on screen (It has been developed so as to be used only with an orthographic camera). It takes into consideration up/down/right and left gestures – like in 2048 game. It could be improved by other features. I hope that it helps someone here – maybe so as to create a game on mobile device for the next LudumDare session – 33th. See you soon folks. Best regards ++

And of course, I am IN :)

Forest Monster waits you

Hi friends. You can test my project here. This is my contribution for Ludum Dare 33. I did a little casual game with a monster (but cute) frog which is trying to catch all flies around it. In order to move, click on the screen and frog follows the last point which has been selected. But be careful because you must avoid all bombs and catch some bonus so as to decrease time flow. I did three game modes – Arcade, Timer and Zen. For the first time I created my own track with SoundTrap. Bye ++
