Hi, what can you do. Like programming languages or graphics ??

My first game in C#!

Hey guys, today I’ve finally finished my first game. Yes, it is a console application kind of game, but I am very happy and excited to release it. Also I would like to hear your thoughts on it. Please keep in mind, that this is my first game ever, so it might suck. But I would like to see what you think anyway :) (Btw. it’s written in C#). Here are some screenshots of it:

So yeah, that’s pretty much it. I hope you’ll enjoy :) I will also participate in the Ludum Dare competition. Just in case you guys want to know. So yeah, peace out :)

Download the game here: Here!

Well, I guess I’m in.

I guess I’m in guys! I hope for a good theme, because I am planning to make a non-regular-ish type of game. I’m also very excited because this will be my first entry ever 😛 I will probably make it in C#.. So, see you guys in 15 days or so! Have a great time.

I have no idea, but last Ludum Dare he came into my friends stream, and gave us a sound clip of his voice for our game! :)

don’t worry about if celebrity of the day is going to post a paragraph, its not a sight seeing tour

I am in for the first time!

Hey there everyone! I’ve been following/knowing about Ludum Dare for quite some time now, but never really participated in one. Well, here it comes. My participation is mainly based on the belief that I can finally make something out of nothing within 48 hours really. And of course, have some da*m fun here and there. So I will use these tools:

  • IDE: I will choose the IDE on the go. Depending on the theme. But normally I would use the Game Maker. Otherwise I might use C# as well
  • Graphics: Mainly Paint.NET since that’s my favorite tool to do that. And also Photoshop for scaling the sprites.
  • Sound: sfxr
  • Timelapsing software: Chronolapse
  • Music: Still not sure.

And yeah, that’s it.. Mainly… I wish luck to every participant :)

Just an update

Hi everybody! Just a quick update of what I have at the moment.

Of course, have fun developing!

I wish luck to everyone!

I’m in once again

Hey everyone!

Last LD was a very positive experience for me since that was my first one. This’ll be my second one and I hope everything goes well on there.

Tools which I used in the last one didn’t disappoint me and they all worked surprisingly well on there. So, here we go.. These are the tools I’ll be using now:

  1. Engine: Game Maker:Studio
  2. Language: GML
  3. Sprite Editing: Paint.NET, Adobe Photoshop
  4. Audio: SFXR
  5. Music: FamiTracker (worked very well last time)

So that’s about it. I hope you’re all in a good mood for this one and I wish luck and patience to everyone!

Good luck!

My 2nd time, hopefully not a grime.

Heyo everybody! This is indeed my second participation in the Ludum Dare game jam. Last time I used GameMaker:Studio. Now is time for some “hardcore fancy” coding from scratch. This is what I decided to use:

  • Language and libs: C# and its default libraries (This is going to be pain)
  • Image editing: Paint.NET
  • Music creation: Bosca Ceoil
  • Sound Effects: SFXR
  • My aliveness: Coffee
  • Ideas: Time it takes me to get to the store and back

See you guys, have a nice day/night/whatever!

What graphics libraries are you using? The only thing you’ll get “out of the box” with the Base Class Library for C

# is GDI & WPF…

I’m in it!

Hey there! This will be my third time participating in Ludum Dare. The first time was a great success for me as I actually finished my game. The second time was not that big of a success since I did not finish the game, but it definately was a learning experience. This time I am fully commited and hopefully I will actually finish the game =). So here are the tools I am going to be using to make this happen:

Language: Java (Eclipse)

Library: LWJGL (OpenGL)

Audio: FL Studio, Bxfr

Graphics: Paint.NET

Music in the background: di.fm, my playlist

Energy: Coffee, Energy Drinks (Beware: not healthy x))

I will most likely stream the entire process, so you can stop by and check it out.

Good luck to all of you, I am pretty confident that we’re going to see some extraordinary games!

Awesome. I’m using LWJGL too. And it’s also my third time. Not many code their graphics by themselves these days. Most people use Unity or GM:S and call it done. I’ll make sure to follow your work. Just out of curiosity, LWJGL 2.x or 3.0?
