My first mechanical keyboard was a BlackWidow also…. and after two months the “A” key stopped working. So since then I’ve just went back to plain old crappy $10 keyboards. (Which, by the way, has lasted me over two years so far) I’ll probably give a Rosewill or Logitech brand mech keyboard in the near future, though.

Before we start

So it’s me again. I just wanted to let you know that when LD begins I will be posting my updates to twitter. So if you want you can follow me @Techblogogy And I think it will be the last update for today.

So once again Good Luck to everyone.

P.S. I think theme is going to be “10 seconds”

Long Time No See

Hello everyone again sorry for not updating for such a long time. I just go completely pulled in, and I forgot to post my updates so heres the quick recap.

For past 24+ hours I have done some very very very basic art. Game engine is done. Now I’m working on game levels and finalizing the art.

So, as far what is my idea. My idea is to make this runner/shooter/puzzle/everything. Basically our main character is waking up one morning and he realizes that he has a super power, which is he can hear what is going on a long distances. So he has 10 seconds to save someone. Idea is probably pretty horrible (or maybe it just me), but I couldn’t come up with anything else (let me know what you think of this idea). So this will probably be a jam game, if I magically wont finnish It today which probably is not going to happen.

So heres a sneak peak at some art of the game (yes, this will be a top down view game). Please tell me what you think of an art.

The main guy (that’s an official name for him):

The Bad Guy (also official):

Well, thats it for art that I  think turned out the best (You can image how everything else looks).

So from now on I’m going to post updates as much as possible.

Techblogogy is back

Ludum dare 28 is just about to start. So heres a list of tools i’m going to be using:

programing language: c++ compiled with Microsoft Visual Studio 2013

art: Paint.NET

If everything goes well i’m also going to do a little live stream

Game Update

Well, It’s almost end of day 2 and you haven’t heard from me for a while. For those of you interested I’ve created my framework, got my idea and currently I’m doing some levels for my game (yes, it’s gonna have multiple levels). I really hope to finish this game today, but if not I’m going to post it into jam.

Week 1 Recap

How is it going guys. So, I wanted to do a recap of what was going on with my game this past week.

Day 1  (Saturday): Created a game framework. Generated tons of ideas.

Day 2 (Sunday): Abounded all of the previous ideas and generated an idea that I thought was kinda interesting. Finnish and uploaded the game without checking anything.

Day 3, 4 (Monday, Tuesday): Had Exam. Didn’t even bother to check Ludum Dare page.

Day 5 (Wednesday): Finally had time to check the game page only to find out that I’ve screwed up. Fixed the links. Received a lot of comments that game can’t launch.

Day 6 (Thursday): Tried to fix game not launching issue. Failed.

Day 7 (Friday): Had exam. Fixed game not launching issue.

As you can see I had a pretty interesting week. This game was the first game that I’ve created using C++ and SDL combination and first personal game that I have finished :) Next time I’ll probably use HTML5 (Cause of the many issues I had) for LD, but C++ and SDL for big projects.

For conclusion here’s the speed run of my game:

Ludum Dare 29 I’m coming!

Hello everybody! It’s techblogogy here and it’s my third time here. So here’s a little video I made to explain what am I doing. You have excuse me for my very bad video editing skills.

This time I will be attending game compo. And as I said in the video I will be using Unity3d, Paint.NET and SFXR.

Also I want to try to do something cool this time. Basically, I’ve tried livestreaming previous time and it didn’t work out well. My PC and Internet (mostly Internet) just went to meltdown. That’s why this time I’m going to do a little vlog. I’m going to record (at least try) an hour by hour progress on the game. What do you think about it? Also I’ll try to twit the progress on the game :)

Anyway hope everyone has great LD and I’ll see you then.

Just in case here’s my Twitter: https://twitter.com/Techblogogy

LD31 I’m coming!

Hello everybody! I’m back once again for the 5th time, hopefully. As always I’m going to give you a brief rundown of tools I’m going to use.

-Engine: Either my sloppy coded framework available at https://github.com/Techblogogy/GameEngine with C++ and SDL or I’m going to use pure HTML5 and JS. I’ll see. I’m not using Unity this time, cause I want more programming challenge.

-Art: Photoshop CC 2014 and nothing else.

-Sound: Logic Pro X and http://www.bfxr.net

-Computer: Good old MacBook Air

-Yogscast Jingle Jam – go support the charities

Also I have some excellent news, it’s second day of winter and it’s snowing like a mother outside plus I got a bit of cold, so if you find this post weird don’t be afraid.

Here’s a little LD31 art I’ve made. A bit primitive, but I’m very exited + did I mention the cold?

I’ve made a game

Hello everybody!

Here’s a story about my game. I had a very busy weekend finishing one of my non-game projects and I’ve merged to finnish it in time. So I’m quite tired and have a free evening, so logically, I went ahead and made a quick little game.

I went onto an ld website and started implementing first idea that came into my mind. After 4 hours I was finished with the game and even managed to write some simple music for it.

Am I happy with the game? It’s not as bad as it good of been, but definitely has more sense in it that some of my previous games that I made in much more time. Overall, I’m pretty happy with it.

What would I do differently? Definitely spend more time expanding and polishing it up. Maybe add a little more interesting and dynamic story.

If any of you want to play this EXTREME GAME OF AWESOMENESS, go ahead and click on the photo. (Let’s see if you can find 3 endings in it).
