A wild BattleCat has appeared...
I'll be joining LD46. Seems to be customary to make an introduction so here's mine.
As a kid I dreamed of being in the video games industry. I bought Klik 'n' Play (a visual event based system like Game Maker) in like 1995 for my hard earned cash, and worked from there. My last jam-type event was in 2004 where I made a terribly buggy remake of the original Donkey Kong game. Eventually I transitioned to Construct (same concept). I lost my interest in game making in about 2010 because I had other hobbies I preferred to focus on.
Game development never really left me though, and I keep an active log of ideas and such. I saw, by accident, that Scirra will be making Construct 3 free for the duration of LD46 so I thought "why not?". I've always wanted to transition to real programming as I feel like you have much more freedom that way, but other than a Unity course and a bit of sniffing around I haven't been able to make the transition, so I'll be sticking with what I know.
I'll most likely be making some programmer art for graphics (in Asesprite), and keeping the game somewhat in an NES style. I will be making the music myself in FL Studio.!
