LD 41

All done! (Choose Your Own Adventure + 2D Platformer)

I just barely made it, but my game is finally submitted. I made a game that combines my two favorite types of games as a kid, which were Choose Your Own Adventure games and 2D platformers. The result definitely highlights why they're incompatible -- the mood shifts required for both just don't work well together. Although for a small game like the one I made, I don't honestly mind it. Looking forward to playing everyone else's games too!

LD 43

All done!

Phew, I'm finally done with my compo entry for LD43, titled "Sacrificial Showdown". I decided to do something I haven't done before, and made a rhythm based music game. It was a lot of fun, but I don't know if I'd ever make another rhythm game again. I spent way too much time debugging timing for user interaction across windows/macOS/html5.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone else's games! Also, if any of you reading this post used Godot engine, let me know. I'm thinking about switching from Gamemaker Studio to Godot, and would like to see/hear more about the engine and it's pros/cons.
