“We” are in

Hello, it will be our debut in Ludum Dare, together with Sadai:

sadai

(Sadai is after ‘Sad Ai’).

Our tools:

  • ubuntu (although its bloated 😉
  • eclipse (lets do not talk about being bloated),
  • libgdx (hm),
  • aseprite (although never used it huh),
  • gimp (zero artistic creative, same amount of talent),
  • renoise (we have a license lol),
  • ardour (this one crashes all the time),
  • coffe with soy milk (thats delicious),
  • snacks, fridge,
  • neurofunk around 175bpm (thats truly awesome),
  • night hours (days are busy).

We tried previously participate for a try using sfml and c++, but then we found playing with c++ much more exciting and developing than work on game itself 😉 So, hopefully game will be finished (Sadai wants to play main character’s role). For sure the fun expected.

We are kind of being in. Pun for fun.

Designer is heading sleep and I am trying to prepare a boilerplate in libgdx.

Eclipse, starting totally from scratches in libgdx, prepared some templates for music in Renoise.

Team 2 deers.

We are still on

Sometimes changing perspective helps a lot…

80% seems to be done

And around 16 hours to upload finished versions. I had to take a little break from coding and switch to work wise related activities – how in 7 hours leaving office and coming back to compo :)

I was pretty surprised seeing how fast I did Java coding – without almost any experience in Java itself, but thank’s for Eclipse and LibGDX it was easier than expected.

Packaging

It seems that libgdx really did a good job, and all default packages for our game – Linux, Win, OSX, web and android just work well.

We have finished

We have managed to finished, even make small responsive website for the game: https://devcarpet.net/deershifter/. We wanted to start playing others game, but not so many people provide html / linux builds… Let’s see bit later.

Thank you everyone!
