First Ever Ludum Dare, Not Sure Where I'm Going
So, I've done plenty of game jams in my college in the past (started with level design, very slowly transitioning to a concept/asset artist over the years) and I was happy to tackle this new frontier with an old college friend, who invited me to try this out with them in the first place.
...Until said friend flaked out on me during the first hour of this event, leaving me effectively clueless on what to do next. I've at least worked with Unity a bunch with other projects before so I'm not going at this entirely blind, but I've rarely done any solo projects with a deadline like this (and it's also been years since I've actually touched a game engine for more than 5 minutes).
So if anyone out there is willing to let me come aboard, I'm more than happy to help out in any way I can! I'm currently more familiar with hand-drawn assets (main tool is Clip Studio Paint), though I'm more than happy to start learning pixel art - I even bought Aseprite a while back to start experimenting with it.
As proof of my current skill, here's some concepts I've been working on for a very loose proof of concept I was talking with my friend about before I was left alone:
Water Slime

Fire Wyrm

Grass Treant

Hope to hear back from someone!
