I'm in Ladies.

Hey I'm DrBlury. My first game jam was brackeys game jam and I made #1 in Audio and a few other high positions. A lot has been learned since then and I hope for the best possible outcome. More ideas to walk through and learn from. The final place doesn't matter. Just the polished product at the end. The last time I fiddled too much with the mechanics to let them feel right and only had about an hour left for the actual game content. This time will be different. I'm much better in programming now and hope that the models will look great in Unity. :)

What do you think about this style?photoem2018-12-01/em02-23-23.jpg

Nearly the basics done. Half way through the jam

Let's hope I'll finish the game in time. Need to add a few npcs and animate them. Already did the damage scripts, health and a few character animations. See the vimeo link for a sneak peak of the visuals. This time not 2D but 3D low poly. (I'm new to Blender. Pls no hate)

I set my goals too high.

Hello everyone! As you may guess - I'm fairly new to GameJams. My first one was Brackeys game jam and I started small with a simple endless 2D Platformer. This time I tried to do something bigger. A 3D RPG. (Singleplayer obviously). But I fiddled around too much with the details and my artist got sick so I had to do that part as well. And that was half way through.

Anyways. About 7 hours before the finish line I decided to not publish my work in progress. It would be only cool to show off the features like mining, collecting mushrooms, combat system... But not really a fun game to play!

What do you think? Should I have published the game even at an unfinished state? As of now I'm still working on the game and adding features. Even more as planned for the jam. Mounts, fishing, cooking, crafting, advanced inventory system, equipment, items, upgrades, enchantments, fly routes, camera systems, spells/special abilities...

What else should be added to a good single player RPG? The story of course. But as this is some kind of template to base the actual game off, that doesn't matter yet.

Take a look at the screenshot and the Video if you would like to see what I made. :)
