I guess I’m in what the hell do I do now

I don’t know how I am doing this really. Killing myself seems like a bad idea, I might use macromedia flash instead. A friend showed this to me so I don’t know what’s going on but I guess I’ll make something and submit it somehow.
Whatever I’m going to go do something cool and fun now unlike you people.

don’t worry, while it seems like chaos this event is pretty obvious once it starts, and if you have any questions ask them!

I have this competition in the bag.

I know you’re jealous of this title screen. I’m sorry you can’t do better.

AW MAN.

Everything is going better than expected.

This is my game. Needs actual graphics, actual dialog, and actual sounds. Programming is about done though! That’s all I’m doing for tonight.

It seems like a lot of people have already designed their game engines and everything that has to do with the game, and are going to try to sneak the theme in somehow so that their game qualifies for this competition.

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s taking this a little bit too seriously. I’ve been given a theme, I’m making a game based around it. From scratch. With shitty code hacked together at midnight.

Agreed. Forcefully stuffing the theme into existing engine is a mistake imho, but these projects won’t get much attention anyway. Letting the code flow naturally with the theme is a way to go, even if it looks like shit in the end.

Damnit Tubby

Why’d you have to snap it in half Tubby. Seriously?

A new face appears

Here you’ll see Cage Grin, a salesman who just sold our hero a new suit of Scale Mail for one billion ruples.

The trick of the game, of course, is trying to avoid buying the armor. Something you’ll find it very tricky to do.

10h to go, good afternoon.

On the checklist:

-Review all dialog

-Finish the ending cinematic

-Make the music.

Wish me luck.

OH BOY HERE WE GO

Dangerous Dan has been released. Go play it.

This is it.
We only have so much time left as our friend, ass, launches towards space.

Will he make it? Will the game symbolically be finished before ludum dare 27 ends? Dozens of people are asking themselves this question, but probably about their own games and not about my ass.

world details are important

now that the core gameplay is done we can focus on the details that really make the game come alive, such as

-farting

-little bits of poop

-buttclouds that rain turds

remember to pay attention to detail, folks

i have done two ludumdare events before this. i have made several games in and out of ludumdare but they are all bad.

All for One: Update 2

Ok, I’ve got a fairly firm idea for my game now.

The working title is All for One. In this game, a group of people are trapped (not sure where yet. Stuck in the woods? Trapped in a building?) and with them is a doppelganger. The doppelganger is killing people one at a time and taking their forms. The people must find out who the doppelganger is, and either kill or escape them.

Of course, you are the doppelganger. You have to pick who to kill. Whenever you kill someone, you become them. Other NPCs may ask you questions to determine if you really are who you’re pretending to be. You need to fool them.

02

Currently you can walk around and start conversations with people. The conversations can advance but nothing really comes out of them. There is a plain-looking but functional text log that can hold events that have happened for your review.

02b

This is my ‘todo’ list right now. Very simple. I will probably be expanding it as I proceed, as I realize more of the individual items and what they are. For now, I’m gonna take a break, but try to get a little more done tonight after I fuck around and play games for a bit.

All for one: Update 3

Calm down, take a short break and look at your code once more. Debug is sometimes a painful thing.

You know it’s funny since you technically told it to do that by mistake XD
