I’m in!

I’m entering for the first time!

IDE: Eclipse

Language: Java or Scala or …

Graphics: No idea! Maybe gimp, a bitmap font editor and a sprite editor… or not!

Library: Most likely LWJGL and Slick

Sound: A sound effects generator, Audacity and Reason

Good luck to all!

Done

So, I’m finally finished…

If I had more time I would have added music and an end game sequence.

Tools used:

Eclipse, Scala, LWJGL, bfxr, JarSplice, BMFont, GIMP, Google

Friends (Martin & Jocke), coffee and food

It works just fine on my Mac, but fails on my Windows box

Anyway, you can try it out here: http://kompetensum.com/ld24/evolutionFat.jar

You take the role as a Triangle that wants to evolve into a Circle.

You do that by eating green line segments spinning around in space.

Im in for the second time!!!

This time I will use OSX, Java, libgdx, eclipse, gimp, tiled and bxfr and …

Unfortunately I will not be able to spend more than a day on the compo.

Done

So, I’m done.

This time I knew from the start that I wouldn’t have the time needed…

Anyway, at least I did something!

Actually the music turned out pretty good.

Tools used:

Eclipse, Java, libgdx, GIMP, Reason,

Coffee, Glögg and Friends (Jocke, Martin and the others at Goo meetup in Stockholm)

LD27

I’m in

I’m in.

This time I am going to use ClojureScript,

and I expect that the hardest part will be learning a new language!

I know, I know, I should use tools that I know…

But where is the fun in that???

Finally done

Ahh, I’m finally done!

I have used some new apis or programming languages for each LD that I have entered.

This time I decided to use ClojureScript, and it has really been a pain! As expected I spent most of my time hunting down mismatching brackets or parenteses or …

Anyway I finished a little game. You can try it out here:

LD30

Here I go again

I’m in for the 4th time!

I have used different libraries and programming languages each time I have entered, and this will be no exception. This time I will make a browser based game using:

  • Coffeescript
  • GIMP
  • Reason
  • Tiled
  • maybe some rendering lib like pixi.js

and perhaps something more…

Good luck to everyone!

LD32

I’m in

Hi!

I’m in again!

This time I will do a browser based game, most likely with phaser and javascript.

Have fun everyone!

I’m done

I’m done!

This time I decided early on that I wanted to do an Outrun-style racing game,
using techniques from the 8-bit/16-bit era. So that is what I did,
there is no 3d in the game, just the illusion of 3d.

Check it out!

LD35

I’m in

I’m in for the 7th time.

This time I’m going to use, in no particular order, at least:

Typescript, Tiled, Gimp, Reason, Visual Studio Code, Python, Google Chrome, and Oxford comma

Good luck to everyone!

I’m done

Actually I was done early this morning, but was too tired to write.

I had a great time hanging out with Vilcans and Dreadzilla, and we all submitted our games!

I think it went pretty well this time, I was mostly finished saturday night and spent the sunday with music, graphics and bug fixes.

Please play and rate my take on the theme:

Shapeshift

I'm in

I'm in!

This time I'm thinking about doing a game for PICO-8, should be challenging and fun!

I'm done

Whoohooo!! I'm done. As usual I tried something completely new and made a game for the PICO-8 fantasy console. It was a very enjoyable experience.

My game is a cross over between a shoot'em up and a sheet music editor.

Please try the game: Sheet Music Editor Shoot'Em Up

I have no clue what tools I will be using, hope to spend som time tomorrow to figure that out!

Oh, and let's hope that the theme is great!

I'm done

This one was a real struggle. Nothing worked, nothing became the way I wanted it to. Anyway, here it is: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/your-life-is-currency-1
