Ahhhhh, need some sleep

Isometric twin stick puzzle shooter... or whatever it actually ends up being.

I'm a noob and I'm almost asleep, I can't even figure out how to post a link properly :(

Some help?

It's 3 am and I'm feeling stupid but I can't seem to be able to post images in my game page. Can somebody tell me how? Thanks

Nanashi - an isometric twin stick shooter

Just finished my game not long ago and gotta say it was a great way to expend the weekend. Sure there's always room for improvement but as far as it goes for being my first ludum dare and also being my first time solo I'm quite happy with the results. Hope to come back again (if I can get markdown to work and let me add images to my posts.. xP)

Anyway, here's the game so it would be awesome if someone played it and told me about it.

See ya in august!

Gotta catch'em all

Think you can get past the bullets, enemies and challenges and get all 5 crystal to beat the game without giving up? I dare you!

Please try my game, Nanashi, and tell me more about it https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/nanashi

WebGL, a small bug fix and a little extra

Logo 2.PNG

Hi there everyone! I came across some issues regarding UI elements resizing so I just fixed that and a weird control issue someone told me about. Btw, PS4 pads use completly different axis than usual for the right stick so keep that in mind when using any of them as you won't be able to natively map both kind of controllers. I knew about this but since I've never owned an Xbox of any kind there's just no possible way for me to tested.

Alternatively to those two small bugs I've decided to compile a WebGL version and, as a sidenote, a small tweek to the controls so it doesn't have anything to do with the original game I submitted for the jam. I've been noted that my controls are a bit weird and hard to adapt because of the 45º rotation I use on the camera so I went ahead and rotated everything instead of the camera so the spaceship will move in a more intuitive and traditional way. Also, 200% less slippery as it's the other issue I've been told about the controls.

Anyway, give the original game a try and tell me about it, I certainly plan to expand it in some way or another and improve it outside the jam.

Cheers!

Nanashi - Quick bugfix

Being playing for a while now some of the games that picked my interest (lots of great entries :D ) but since I got pointed a quick bug (music not looping) I decided to stop for a while and fixed it. Anyway, fixed that already and uploaded it.

I hope I can find the time to write a post mortem though, mostly as a dairy thing but it'll be okay I guess, first time participating has been great and I would love to share the experience with more people out there.

Also, if you find the time give my game a try, the more advice I can get the better it'll be, for me this has been nothing but a great educational experience, getting pointed out errors I missed and being able to see some really cool techniques put into motion by other people. I'll also make sure to play your game if you point it out to me, there's so many that it's something hard to pick one!

Cheers!

Road to 20

Thumbnail.PNG Hi there! Have you guys given Nanashi a try? If not please do, would love to reach those 20 ratings. Also if you comment with a link to your game I'll help you too. Thanks!

Mission Complete

Being gone for two days just to see that I've already reached the 20 ratings. Yay!

Thanks to everyone that played my game and commented on it, I'll certainly take everything into account once I can get back to working on it.

Still gonna play more games though, so if anybody else needs a rating or something just say it.

Cheers!

LD 42

Hi there again!

Back for my second time at Ludum Dare. Going solo again for now since I couldn't actually get any friend to join me yet. Summer Comiket is next weekend too and I don't know if I'll have enough time to actually go, it will all depend on how progress for the game goes.

I better review some blender stuff this week to work faster and actually do something better than last time's models xP

Let's Jam

Just woke up so let's do this! Not a huge fan of the theme but I hope I can think of something fast.

Got an idea

Ok, brainstorming done.

Seems like I found something I'm comfortable with so I'm gonna go with that as it's giving me the chance to try out different stuff I've been playing with lately. Time to see how my modeling skills are doing now xP

Happy so far

The model is turning out ok, so considering I'm a blender noob I'm happy so far. Most of the other stuff in the game is done so I hope I don't mess up and have enough time :) DkY0yzyUwAIxboi.jpg

Almost done

Still some stuff left to be done but so far I think I'll have no problem with time. Anyway, time for an all nighter probably xP

Gotta go fast

Running out of time already and still so much to do. Is this game over?End LD42.PNG

No Escape or more like Almost not uploaded

Goat head.png Seems like the server is working properly again and so I've finally been able to publish my entry.

"No Escape". Get into the rol of a bank robber trapped and surrounded by the police as you try to survive all the shooting running and taking cover while it lasts... Gameplay wise based on classics like Cabal, No Escape is my second time jamming at ludum dare and surely not my last.

Please give it a try if you get the time. Cheers and goodluck to everyone else!

Link fixed and games wanted

Somehow I forgot to set my itch page as public so I just went to fix that. Game is available right now so please give it a try if you find the time. As soon as I actually eat something decent today I'll be playing games so please tell me about yours if you want me to give it a try :)

The link to my game is here https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/no-escape so just post yours in the comments. I'll even try to upload a webgl version later.

Cheers!

WebGL version, itch page renovated and more

Hi there everyone!

How's playing and rating going? I still gotta get down to it myself but so far I've seen quite some interesting stuff that I'm keeping on separate browser tabs to check out. Anyway, someone who couldn't play the game, because of Mac reasons, requested me a WebGL version or something so I went ahead and did it, as well as fixing a couple of bugs among the way, mostly unity's canvas and wrong respawning.

So now that that's fixed time to get to playing. If you have a game you would like me to play please just comment and if you have the time try out mine too!

Cheers!

Back to check the results

I know it's already been a couple of days but I've been way to busy lately with summer vacation going on, part time job and the likes so I was only able to check results now.

Overall I've mixed feelings. I couldn't play many games so I didn't receive much ratings, that's okay though, as I said, almost 0 time lately, but overall I was happy with some of the stuff I did and a bit disappointed with some other.

This one time I decided to do some humanoid models on Blender 3D all by myself and that took quite a bit of time since I'm everything but an expert with it. Also animating took some time as implementing the animations and rotating the characters properly while pointing became a huge pain in the ass. Now that I've sorted that out it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

Aesthetics were also much simpler this time around, lots of plain colors because of the time, and some really simple stuff made it look too "paint-like" so I can get while it didn't gather much attention because of that. In this aspect, my entry for LD41 seemed much more clean and "beautiful" and as such was often told about it. Nonetheless I was able to pretty much fixed my biggest flaw from LD41, controls. This one time I went with something that seemed quite simple, even after all the animation trouble it gave me, yet it seems the Blood Bros gameplay is not really popular nowadays xD

Overall, programming-wise I'm pretty satisfied while aesthetics wise was a disappointment when compared to LD41's entry. I know I've learned lots from the experience and I expect to be able to get the best of both things for my next LD entry.

See ya all in LD43!

LD 43

yeah!

Back for the next Ludum :)

3rd time jamming here

Getting ready to start tomorrow in the early morning (thank you, time zone) and excited to be here once again since I haven't been able to do much lately. Hopping I can still do something better than last time, or well, at least finish on time :D
