LD36: No Man Has Gone Before is DONE!

Just got it ready for the compo deadline, didn’t expect to hit. DEFINITELY my most polished jam game ever. No Man Has Gone Before is UI driven game based around the idea of trying to get a spaceship with the last of humanity to a habitable planet that you don’t even know for sure exists, over the course of thousands of years. Even barebones, I think it’s pretty damn evocative and can definitely get tense when you’re trying to keep that last dozen people alive for just one. more. turn. please.

Right now, I’d say balance could definitely use some tweaking, I’m thinking it’s a little too easy at the moment. (Not in the build pictured, though. That one was waaaaay too hard.) And some of the polish that I wanted just didn’t make it, though still enough that you’ll probably notice some interesting touches in there! (No Spoilers!)

Anywho: Check it here.

Gearing up for LD 37

Alright, the our local dev group is gathered up and waiting for the theme. I feel my last LD game, No Man Has Gone Before, went really well. I actually hit all of my goals for the weekend on that one! Here’s to getting a solid game together this time!

Hour 2 Progress

Got done the most important part of any game: Sweet background images.

PC crashes won’t stop me – This Room Ain’t Big Enough For The Two Of Us

Holy shit I made it! My laptop died at 9:15, but a quick drive home and I got it built and uploaded in the final minutes.

The game is “This Room Ain’t Big Enough For The Two Of Us”, and it’s a local multiplayer game where you’re cowboys building rooms in a quest to not be in the same room. Whoever ends up with the bigger room wins!

This was definitely my most complete LD entry to date (even managed audio this time!). Yeah, the physics and some of the collision detection might be all sorts of buggy, but I think I’ll be fine for the moment.

Powerpoint Panic Published!

A classic Horror scenario: you're giving an important Business Talk, but you've run out of power(point slides) and need to improv your way out. Also you're not wearing pants. (Not really). A riveting adventure in uncomfortable social situations, business buzzwords, and crippling career failure!

Didn't think I was going to get this finished, since I spent so long doing pixel art, but here we are! Pretty happy with this one.
